Light - quantity is small, quality is contrasty and direction is from 3/4 back.
Colour - I really wanted the focal point to be the toothpaste tube hue and this worked better in darker lighting. I experimented with a lighter setting (slower shutter speed) but this took the toothpaste too much out of the focus.

I did this in my printmaking class -- which sort of made me want to switch and study printmaking instead of painting. I didn't, but I still wish I did more printmaking. That's why I screenprint these days. I love the possibility of high-quality, detailed multiples that printmaking presents. Maybe I'll get lucky someday and a printing press will fall in my lap.
We have been using Tom's of Maine toothpaste, but I was getting a bit sick of it and wanted my teeth to feel minty fresh again. Tom's is great and I love the company, but sometimes I just don't feel like my mouth is that clean. Clifton disagrees.
Our jars of homemade toothpaste were running low, so I whipped up a new batch today. This is generally the ingredients I I also added a little food grade peroxide (not shown).

Sensitive teeth toothpaste on the ice cream freezer door at Morrison's. I like this sort of promotion.
I suggest toilet rolls in the fridge alongside take-out curries, and Slim Fast shelved with Fray Bentos pies :D
Hong Kong has Crest Toothpaste that sells for about 13.90 dollars each - 14 Hong Kong dollars = 8 HK to 1 US = almost 2 US. Not too expensive, I thought. Their brand: Darlie was the 'store' brand.
Me and other students in the Chemistry honorary went to local schools to show how cool chemistry is.
