I took this shot while I was getting ready to go to Joe's photo show. The toothbrush was sitting on my desk at work on top of some office paper. Did anyone at the show notice my minty, fresh breath?
So I realized I have all these toothpastes nearing the ends of their lives, and they're all different flavors and therefore colors. So I thought I'd shoot them, no better reason then that I can!
Cuando regresaba a Sanfe luego de un agradablísimo viaje, me topé con la luna inmensamente blanca. Unos baches después, la luna se había derramado sobre la noche como pasta de dientes...
When I returned to Sanfe after a pleasant trip, I came upon a immensely white moon. Some potholes later, moon had been spilled on night as toothpaste...

This is the toothpaste in my (apparently "executive") room in the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel in London.

OK, I have a thing about buying local toothpaste whereever I travel. This one is super minty and has a funny name too.
An old ad Toothpaste inside a railcar from early last century. What is interesting is the fact that the toothpaste is advertised as a medicine to avoid diseases of the mouth.
The Asian Occasion 2012: Part 4
Despite two and a half grueling days of trek and travel, we find our way from Emeishan to Chengdu to Guilin to Yangshuo, where Steve visited two years ago. It's a beautiful little touristy town nearly two hours south of Guilin, full of karst scenery, where mountains just rise up out of nowhere next to the Li River. We shopped, ate western breakfasts, and just took in the small town/ rural feel for nearly four days. I wish I could go back.
The Colgate Company (New York City) was founded in 1806 by William Colgate when he began manufacturing starch, candles and soap. On William’s death in 1857, the business was reorganised as the Colgate Company with his son, Samuel, taking over as the new manager. Colgate began manufacturing and selling its own brand of toothpastes in 1873 for which they subsequently became world famous. The first toothpaste tubes were sold from 1896, whereas prior to that, toothpastes were supplied in ceramic jars with attractively printed lids.
In 1911, Colgate pulled off a marketing coup when they started their dental healthcare campaign that involved the distribution of free Colgate toothpaste tubes and toothbrushes to schools as well as providing dental hygienists to instruct the children in the correct way to brush and look after their teeth. Presumably, it was from this that the Colgate Health Club (CHC) came into being, for the club was certainly in existence by 1917. The Colgate Company merged with Palmolive-Peet Company in 1928 to form the Colgate Palmolive Peet Company.
This badge was issued as part of a membership pack for new CHC members but was unable to find any information about the significance of the ‘meritum award’. This badge’s octagonal shape reflects that of the famous Colgate clocks located in Jersey City (NJ) and Clarksville (IN).
Would anyone know if the Colgate Health Club existed in Britain?
