Taken before going to watch Xmen!

With all the winter weather that we’re getting, I thought a little throwback to a warm day, at a fall fair & the kiddies dragon rollercoaster, would be appropriate.

I like the variety of emotions on their faces from excitement, exhilaration, trepidation, anticipation….

"Toothless" is the name of the crocodile skink who lives at Lehigh Valley Zoo. Members of this species sometimes "play dead" when startled.

I did my best shooting through the dirty glass of the habitat.

This was requested by iheartcastingcrowns! I’m sorry bout how it looks but I tried so hard but for some reason I couldn’t really draw him well so here you go!

Hope you guys have a good one :D

The magnificent humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) – or ballena jorobada in Spanish – is one of the largest species of baleen (or toothless) whales. Its flippers alone can grow up to 16 feet long, which is the largest appendage in the world, and its tail can measure 18 feet wide.

During our trip to Maui, Hawaii, we spotted humpback whales around the Lahaina harbor. Some of the whales started slapping their tails in the water, to the amazement of the boar tour participants.

Humpback whales will sit vertically in the water while slapping their flukes against the water. This is another repetitive behavior; it is common to see Maui humpbacks slapping their tails dozens of times in a row. (Source: redlinerafting.com)

Most favorite shot to me from yesterday walk. A sudden click when I was just passing across him. His smile seems to me so innocent I could not resist myself to upload his portrait..

There are a lot of How to Train Your Dragon Toothless MOCs out there, but I wanted to try my hand at a smaller chibi (cute) version with a low part count. My goal was to give him as much personality in a small format, and make it easy for my kids to play with him, without breaking it. He's fully poseable, and best of all, very swooshable!

Instructions are available at Rebrickable .

I do love Corky's aliens and I was pretty pleased with this shot :)

I’m thinking about setting up a second Flickr account where I would post more of my photos. Because I see Flickr as sort of my ~portfolio these days only about 0.01% of all the photos I take get uploaded here. But I feel like a good few more of my photos are not bad and there’s certainly some interesting ones that I want to share but not have as part of my ~portfolio.

The only issue is Flickr doesn't allow multiple accounts on the same email address or any form of account linking. I know a lot of photographers I follow on Flickr use Flickr as the place they upload all their photos then use deviantArt for the best. But I’ve had some bad experiences with DA in the past and I’m not really keen to go back.

Does anybody have any better ideas/suggestions for me? I’d appreciate it :)

'cus it doesn't have teeth..no place for them.

This build was inspired by Patrick's charming Christmas build. Thank you for the inspiration :)

With Httyd 2 coming around corner and my fifth year of building coming up, I'm going to be working on dragons again :)

Here is another Night Fury model (to no surprise) with his new head design from earlier.

The dragon also has a different wing design I'm currently working on, where I'm using minifig capes for the wing membrane (although I'm still experimenting with the larger sail parts).

He isn't exactly minifig-size, so it's likely I'll make another version.

How to train your dragon was what pushed my dragon obsession over the edge. This build has been on my to do list for years, with thd new movie and the (absolutely hideous) LEGO set i felt it was time to do it. Ofcourse there are dozens of toothless MOCs out there, but to me they usually are the wrong size, not posable enough or the proportions are off. So I present my very own LEGO toothless, at minifig scale, fully posable and with correctly shaped wings
