Here, the Shopping Cart Tooltip indicates that there's 1 item in the cart.

Visible map is a toy that lets you see all of the magic at work behind our maps and the way that we do interaction with UTFGrid. It works by spying on the workings of Wax and Modest Maps while they do the dirty work of building maps, downloading grids, and producing pretty tooltips. It's stuff that we work hard to make invisible, but this is all of that turned inside out so that you can can see how it works.

There is only one way to close this tool tip - you have to click on the "Edit List" or the learn more about it.

We created a new microsite to do their portfolio justice. Working closely, from initial concepts right through to final build, we collaborated to produce a stylish site entirely CMS driven, with tooltips, Google maps, Flash animations and a unique horizontal scrolling feature.

Sometimes you'll just need to say more about the image than is possible with ALT text descriptions. 250 characters sounds like a lot until you start describing a complex graph or other important image. Also, there's no way to format your ALT text descriptions: you can't select the font, line breaks, or add any other HTML formatting instructions.

That's why both HTML 4 and XHTML support the LONGDESC attribute. This attribute won't appear as a pop-up tooltip like ALT text does in some browsers. Instead, LONGDESC is an actual link to another Web page that contains the complete text description of the image or non-text page element.

Both ALT and LONGDESC attributes are considered critical components of a page's overall accessibility level. Both are Priority One attributes according to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Yes, I was bored one day and modified this photograph I took of my achievement in Minesweeper, on Expert difficulty. What a pain in the neck that was!

Tooltips, show the users account number as opposed to name (shown as Nickname) and also randomly account, thus I could put 2 facebook accounts into one window?

Eventually the whole screen is going to be filled with locked FontLab tooltips.

We added custom tooltips to help give users information about Matthew's social media links.

This is a screenshot of memcacheProbe, a tool that I wrote to give us a peek into our memcache instances at LibraryThing.com so that we can see what types of keys are being set, how much memory they are using per key, mins, maxes, etc.

It's written in PHP and I plan on releasing it for others to use after I clean it up and generalize it a little more.

The key type column shows the basic type of key. These are not the actual key names, but are a generic form of a key name. So it may list 'geocoder' but an actual key that uses that key type would be something like '3:geocoder:88.1:-120.4:100'. Hovering over one of the key types will show a tooltip with an example of one of the actual keys in memcache.

You'll notice that I'm limiting to 10 keys per slab. I did that just to take this screenshot. Normally I use the full 4k keys per slab option. Any more than that and it runs into memory problems with our installation. At 4k per slab it returns nearly a million rows of data. I think that PHP has problems with anything over that. It barfs. But 4k per slab gives us a peek at about half of our total memcache footprint so I figure that's a pretty good indication of how resources are being used.
