Andrew was figuring out how to fix his car whilst I was working out how to use the camera. Quite impressed with the definition on this shot,

(Test shot using my new camera Fuji FinePix S5800. I'm amazed at how easy it is to get a good photo with a better camera).

Cable Tool Rig and 100 foot bolted metal derrick at the Kansas Oil Museum in El Dorado Kansas. Dates to the c.1930s, the transition derrick between the earlier all wooden derricks and the later steel derricks. This rig with its primitive rock crusher and bailer was the primary means of drilling for oil in the early days by literally pounding holes in the ground. The bit was attached to a long cable, hence the name "cable tool rig."

I love this purchase from eBay - an early 20th century implement for eradicating thistles. It was used by the farming community in the early part of the 20th century and earlier to chop thistles out of the ground in their fields, before weed killers became widely available. I attached it to a new shaft.

Being that Raven Seo Tools was a platnum sponsor of the event. They had a chance to show the SEO Crowd some new toys that allow us to organize our tool around our projects. This is one of the most powerful tools I have worked with for years now.

The eleventh @dailyshoot assignment was about Thanksgiving. We don't celebrate the day in Europe, but we had the yearly company Christmas dinner yesterday evening. I had my camera there with me and planned to take some shots of all the great colleagues that I'm thankful to work with. However, in the end I rather spent the evening chatting and socializing than fiddling with my camera. I still wanted to shoot something that I'm thankful for, and one very important thing for me are all the tools that enable me to stay in contact with my beautiful fiancée and our lovely cats even when we are separated by a thousand miles.
