This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Jewel Tones. With our hot weather lately, I'm liking the coolness of this palette! HMMM!

the proud fortress still guards the MureΘ river...
It's a place where battles were fought... a place of cruelty and bravery... a place full of stories...
If you listen carefully... close your eyes and listen... you will hear the walls whispering them to the wind...
A serendipitous discovery by the roadside, just outside Forfar. Quite impressive - lovely geometrical layout, tower in good condition.
A long exposure taken in Vauxhall, looking over the river at St George Wharf Tower and in the distance that perfect lone cloud (and yes, it was there). I've applied sepia toning to the shot which out of the camera had quite strong blue tones, a result of the Lee big stopper ND filter (10 stops).
Figures from Pixabay ,background room is in Bodie Ghost Town which is my image. All texture and tints done in Nik Efex and Perfect Effects.Thank you.

... in the UK it's a music term for 'ska-rock' made famous by The Specials and Madness! But here it is two textures making for two tones in the same ribbon ... set against black velvet π

Nobody expects the "Spanish Inquisition".
The Spanish Inquisition was a Catholic tribunal that operated in Spain and its colonies from 1478 for about three centuries. It was established by Queen Isabella I of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon.
"The Spanish Inquisition" is an episode and recurring segment in the British sketch comedy TV series Monty Python's Flying Circus, specifically series 2 episode 2 (first broadcast 22 September 1970), that satirises the Spanish Inquisition. The sketches are notable for the catchphrase, "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!", which has been frequently quoted and become an Internet meme.

βWhen you think things are bad,
when you feel sour and blue,
when you start to get mad...
you should do what I do!
Just tell yourself, Duckie,
you're really quite lucky!
Some people are much more...
oh, ever so much more...
oh, muchly much-much more
unlucky than you!β
