OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The flora of the Andes National Park Cotopaxi (Ecuador) is rich in plants with delicate flowers, but unfortunately, for the most part, I don't know their names. But I'll show them to you anyway, they are very pretty!

At yet another birthday party with the kids this past weekend, at Quassy amusement park located on Lake Quassapaug. The kiddie park area, where I inevitably spend most of my time, is separated from the water by only a fence. So of course, with the sun setting, my attention is being torn by this lovely sunset glittering on the water...and like usual, I feel like I'm the only one noticing the beauty.

I took some shots, but this time for kicks, I tried a few shots in sunset mode, which is something I very rarely use because I don't like the result. It seems to take away the colors and adds an almost sepia tone...maybe because it's an older camera, I don't know. But I actually like the result here, giving everything an amber glow...reminding me of tiger-eye contrasting with the dark areas.

Have a wonderful day, my friends :-)

A poll of snow melting in the Alps gives splendid tones and hues of blue while reflecting the mountains and the sky. A simple shot but some wonderful colors.

They say, "Oh my god, I see the way you shine

Take your hand, my dear, and place them both in mine"

You know you stopped me dead while I was passing by

And now I beg to see you dance just one more time

Ooh, I see you, see you, see you every time

And oh my, I, I like your style

You, you make me, make me, make me wanna cry

And now I beg to see you dance just one more time

So they say

Dance for me, dance for me, dance for me, oh-oh-oh

I've never seen anybody do the things you do before

They say

Move for me, move for me, move for me, ayy-ayy-ayy

And when you’re done, I'll make you do it all again

I said, "Oh my god, I see you walking by

Take my hands, my dear, and look me in my eyes"

Just like a monkey, I've been dancin’ my whole life

But you just beg to see me dance just one more time

A simple Gulf Fritillary from my garden to yours. This photo from last year heralds the return of the butterflies to my garden. The "Butterfly Days" series will continue soon. Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday!

In the areas I visit, Iscnura elegans is more common than I. graellsii. I identify them by the spike of the pronotum, I have added a note. Also due to the bicolor pterostigma of the male.

Seeing the image on the PC, the transition of color tones of the female in the thorax caught my attention.

Sofitel - Hotel - Stephansdom - Stilwerk - Vienna - Austria

Photographed in the Medicine Bow Range in southern Wyoming,

On the higher mountains the first snow has fallen, but here around this meander of river the last colors of autumn are resisting. I think it deserved a photo.

Sulle montagne più alte è caduta la prima neve, ma intorno a questo meandro del fiume resistono le ultime cromie autunnali; credo meritassero una foto.

The first glimpse of the Isle of Skye from Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland. The Red Hills in fine view as The Skye Bridge beckons and a tantalising glimpse of The Cuillin Hills shrouded in cloud.

This was my first glimpse of this magical island and I wanted to share this with you - Skye truly is magical and lives up to it's name as The Misty Isle.

Enjoy the view with me and stay safe my Flickr friends!

The river Tone runs through Taunton in Somerset.

The river is about 33 kilometres (21 mi) long. Its source is at Beverton Pond near Huish Champflower in the Brendon Hills, and is dammed at Clatworthy Reservoir. The reservoir outfall continues through Taunton and Curry and Hay Moors, which are designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Finally, it flows into the River Parrett at Burrowbridge.

The rain is on its way - time to look for shelter and a coffee .

Not sure I like the "dramatic tone" effect the camera has.

Posting today's picture quite early.

I'm no expert but I think it's a species of plant called Japanese Barberry.

Used a low exposure and used the sun's light to capture the highlights.
