An announcement made by Singapore-based Terra and the Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) which is a nonprofit organization designed to support the Terra network to build and promote a decentralized economy. It claimed of raising $1 billion in a private token sale of LUNA led by Three Arrows Capital headed by Ethereum critic Su Zhu and Jump Crypto.

The trading group that led the raise was also responsible for Solana cross-chain bridge Wormhole whole after a $320 million hack. The foundation did not say anything about the specifics of the raise or whether the funds were raised directly in Bitcoin. As per LFG, the funds will be used to create a UST Forex Reserve denominated in Bitcoin for the biggest stablecoin on the Terra chain, TerraUST, Depending on when the raising took place, the value would be under $1 billion due to the market downturn. As a result of this $1 billion, which will be locked up for a vesting period of four years, it will be used as a release valve for UST redemption to maintain the USD peg. To maintain its peg UST which is a stablecoin uses Terra's LUNA.

I bought ¾" wooden discs to use as miniatures on the D&D battle map, and it has worked well for years. I label the PC tokens with the character's initials, and enemies were numbered. Sometimes, though, it would get hard to remember that "5" was the boss. If we had a bunch of enemies on the board, it got even worse, and at one point I lost my mind and used Greek letters. ("Hey, is that a capital upsilon or a small gamma?")

Eventually I found that coloring one or two tokens in with our whiteboard markers was really helpful. Today, I dug out my acrylics and painted a few sets of tokens. Later, I'll number them. The players will be able to say, "I move to flank Blue 3 and attack him."

This token in poor condition. The legend reads "PURE COPPER PREFERABLE TO T..." I am not sure what the last word beginning with "T" is. Trade perhaps.

The Federal Union It Must Be Preserved

Our Union

This token, bearing a likeness of the famous statue of Andrew Jackson, included his most famous quote concerning his stand against secession. "Our Federal Union! It Must Be Preserved!" was President Andrew Jackson's volunteer toast delivered at the annual Democratic Jefferson Day dinner on 13 April 1830 in response to the South Carolina senator Robert Hayne's pronullification speech. Hayne's speech and the toasts that followed were intended to display a united front for states' rights within the party. Jackson became aware of the plan before the dinner, and he decided to pronounce finally his position on nullification and win back the initiative. To the attendees' shock, Jackson, often identified with states' rights, declared his opposition to nullification and proclaimed his belief in a supreme, perpetual Union.

This is a Kansas State Tax token. Kansas issued these to pay for payment of sales tax. A token was valued at on mill, or one tenth of one of 1 cent (ten for a penny). I do not remember when they were discontinued but sometime in the early 40's when aluminum was necessary for the war.

Evidently Dad or my uncle used a token to repair the Tractor.

You can see an example of recycling in the 40's here. www.flickr.com/photos/tejedoro_de_luz/3177911796/

I was playing in a pub at Morwelham Quay, belting out Matty Groves www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lliSYkz3gM

When I finished, a small blonde girl came up to me. "That was very good." she said solemnly and gave me a loop of string tied with a granny knot. I put it on my wrist and showed her. She trotted off into the next room. Later, as her family was leaving, she gave me a second loop of string and a drawing for which I thanked her.

I would play for a long time for appreciation like that.

A large ramatanka Hindu temple token depicting Rama and Sita enthroned on a durbar (platform) with one attendant either side. Hanuman is represented beneath the durbar offering his adoration and praises to Rama and Sita.

The reverse side depicts a procession of Vedic Rishis (wise & holy men). The lead man carries a banner and the others carry fans while one of them carries what looks like a large axe. There are normally seven Rishis in procession but this token has only six. The Devanagari inscriptions proclaim Rama and Sita.
