Diners enjoy the Vivid Harbour Lights at the building locally known as the "Toaster". This building consists of commercial and residential apartments. The next S-Bahn service I saw surprised me greatly: it had a locomotive-hauled set with CityShuttle coaches and a Class 1144 providing power. The 1144 263 is one of just over 200 of these engines built, based on the popular ASEA design from Sweden. And yes, this is the same common ancestor as the beloved AEM-7 and ALP-44 toasters in the US.
This train started as #5054 from Wels to Straßwalchen, then becoming an S2 train (but still numbered 5054) to Freilassing. The extra long haul may explain the loco-hauled consist, as this train takes 2 hours from origin to destination. Most other S-Bahns have DMU or EMUs.

mechanism.Press down the switch by hand, and watch two LEGO toast slices gently pop up—yes, this is a truly working toaster!

This is a vintage General Electric Flip Open Toaster, Circa 1910-1925. One of my little treasures. No fancy bells or whistles, you just flip it open back and front, stick in a piece of bread (probably Wonder bread at that time) and plug it in. No on off switch on this gadget.

As the mother of three litters of pups Toaster had very special status around here. Not just that, but her whole way of being made her special and endeared. I've written about her before on various posts and in her set here: www.flickr.com/photos/dr_ozda/sets/72157618508937606
