Toadstool Park (north of Crawford, Nebraska) is the Nebraska equivalent of the SD Badlands. It is a beautiful location. Most of the time, there was only 3-4 other people in the area while I was there. Solitude.

We were driving along, high up in the mountains on our 4 x 4 drive, when I spotted something red showing through the trees. I just got this flash as we drove past and so we stopped and up the steep bank were these mushrooms. Red ones with white dots and orange ones with white dots. I have seen pictures of these before but never real ones! They are not even touched up in PS -as you see is the color they really are!

Tyntesfield house and gardens, Wraxall.

I spotted these on the way into work this morning and took a couple of minutes to stop and grab these photos. I have no idea what kind of fungi they are, so all help in identifiaction is gratefully received!

Can anyone help identify this ???

It was spotted near Scott Lake on the old McKenzie Highway ... and no, I didn't find this memory card hiding under it, I placed it there for size comparison ...

Scott Lake is about 5,000 feet elevation on the west side of the Cascade Mountains of western Oregon ...
