Fine titanium metal powder burns rapidly when thrown into the flame with very bright sparks and a crackling sound, forming titanium IV oxide (titanium dioxide).
These cogs are seriously light - and not just because of those massive holes, either :)
Very, very little wear - I don't anticipate any issues whatsoever with chain/cog interface under load.
note that both bikes use an integrated seat post (ISP) design. while the TCR uses Giant's proprietary design mast head to fit the aero-shaped carbon mast, the Davidson uses an off-the-shelf Ritchey Mast Topper to fit a round 34.9mm tube. I actually have to Mast Toppers, one carbon and one forged aluminium. both are clean designs that work well and are easy to work on.
Poppy capsule. Interesting to see these now after weathering a winter, they are stripped almost to their bare bones, very beautiful structures
This beauty is an all mountain, full suspension, KGS / Eriksen mountain bike. It has longer suspension travel to accomodate the loads that it will incur on fast descents. Our friend Dipan studied the components in great detail and we designed the riding characteristics based on the position we found with our BalancePointâ„¢ system.
The titanium Eriksen frame is fantastic, with a Ventana rear end, Elka shock with titanium spring, RockShox Revelation Dual Air shock with 150 mm of travel. SRAM XX transmission is combined with Hope brakes. The wheels are Industry Nine, the bar is Seven and the stem is ENVE.
Thank you for looking and of course for thinking of custom bicycles.

I have this non-locking carabiner for many years - it's the first version of a carabiner, made of titanium in the USSR (actually, this one was made in Russia in 1992, but it was designed in the USSR). After a certain time of use, purple oxide layer got worn out. So, doing my test runs of anodizing process, I decided to restore its original purple color. Voltage was about 16-17 Volts. With higher voltage, it's easy to get thicker oxide layer and other colors, caused by thin-film interference.
Gate and spring are removed because only the frame was anodized originally.
