The flowers are simply gorgeous this year - thanks to some big time rains. I tried to nudge the cactus to bloom, but I'm thrilled with what we got!! Enjoy!!

As I was driving home after a gray morning of shooting the snow, the sky cleared and I saw this wonderful sight.
Paul Boudreau posted a nice wintry scene today that sent my mind a reelin' into the Christmas spirit. I don't wish to promote consumerism, but there is something romantic about strolling with the Mrs. and shopping for the loved ones.
Happy Holidays all! :-)

Using a photo I took of a colorful pot of flowers as my working image, I went through the steps described in a "painting" tutorial. And then tweaked it some more with a texture. This was my result.

I admire this every time I drive past it, but it's on a narrow, winding, hilly road which is often busy. When I came by yesterday there were no other cars in sight, so I snapped one shot before a car came up behind me and I moved on.
Did this in sepia to disguise the gaudy dye on the sheep.I think it gives it a timeless look

Although the calendar says Spring won't start till a week from this Saturday, the plants and birds are saying differently :)
Hope you all have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by to view and comment on the image.
Breece :)
These dainty flowers bloom in early Spring on the Jack Frost Brunnera. They enjoy the shade and the plant itself is a companion to the hostas, ferns and other shade loving plants.
