Just trying to "catch" a drop

Bees are actually one of the trickier subjects. They don't spend much time staying still and they are very aware of your presence. This photo was therefore the result of a combination of luck and quick responsiveness.

A day in the life of a guy with a camera, wandering in the garden.

This capture is a part of a Lily.

While on a stress relieving expedition with Charlie I thought I'd get down and peer into the tiny world of moss.

Taken on Microscopic Mode with the TG-6 camera.

Those white specs are sand grains!

Mrs. Blossom's (my mom) tiny world made at Mimi Kirchner's class

I love the detail on these models from the London Transport Museum. The wing mirrors are actually real mirrors.

Two slender mushrooms rising through wet grass after a cool October rain. The droplets were perfect little mirrors reflecting the first light.

Shot with my Nikon Z6II and Nikkor Z 105mm f/2.8 Macro. Focus stacked in Helicon Focus and polished in Lightroom. ISO was sky-high, but Lightroom 14’s Denoise handled it beautifully.

This little fella got knocked off the plant by accident. Wondered if it would open if it was put in some water, well it now sits on the kitchen table and is enjoyed every day.

Tiny planet of the pier at Boonerah Pt, Lake Illawarra

One of the smallest mushrooms I’ve ever found—barely the size of a pinky nail—standing among wet leaves and moss. Captured handheld on my Nikon Z6II and Nikkor Z 105mm f/2.8 Macro.

Manually racked focus, 10-20 images stacked in Helicon Focus, then finished in Lightroom 14. A quiet moment on the forest floor.

Une photo que les moins de 20 ans ne peuvent pas comprendre ;)

I'm living on my own tiny world… 🌎 IDK in a way I look like a bobblehead. 😂

Cinnamon Basil

Spicy-Sweet Flavor and Showy Purple Stems. This basil gets its name because it contains the same ingredient as cinnamon: methyl cinnamate. But it also retains its traditional basil flavor, so the result is a spicy-sweet combination that works as well in basked goods as it does in pastas and salads.

Some gardeners plant cinnamon basil close to their tomato plants in the garden to discourage bugs from damaging the tomato plants. Thanks "Backyard Patch Herbal Blog" - now I know.

We over-wintered this plant indoors for no particular reason other than we could.

Canon 6d - Tamron 15-30 @15mm - f/13 - ISO 100 - 1/350s - 51 images stitched together

Found this one crawling amongst the leafs in the back of my garden.

Tiny twin mushrooms emerging from a fir cone’s layered bark. Shot with my Nikon Z6II + Nikkor Z 105mm Macro, handheld in fading light.

Focus stacked in Helicon Focus 8.3.0, processed in Lightroom 14. I love the subtle glow and texture in these delicate caps.

a 360 panoramic photo around the inside of Cardiff Castle. This picture is made up of around 15 photos, taken in portrait, which is subsequently used to make a Tiny World / Tiny Planet photo and a "tunnel" photo on photoshop
