Apparently, she read in Better Homes and Gardens that it's tacky if your truck is bigger than the house.

I'm so on board with dig this chick's curated mess idea that I'm posting a photo of the inside of our usually messy tiny house. It's in a state of mid-construction, always needing more money and time (mostly money), so not everything has a place just yet. There are a lot of moving piles. So this goes into the whole picture of the tiny house, good, bad and ugly.
This is another shot of the little house with the colourful pot display on the window sill. The cage had several canaries in it all enjoying the morning air. This house is in a tiny village in France on the banks of the river Vienne - this street leads down to the river bank.
Donna and I stopped at Little River Escape, on GA Hwy. 48,
just a mile north of Cloudland, GA. She'd seen a sign advertising tiny houses and was curious. This is one of two models we explored. The agent, Donna Richards, was very helpful and not at all pushy. These places are really neat... but you better be ready to downsize your stuff by 99%!
When I first moved into the cabin in May of 2008 I was loaned/given a little kitchen table which, while very functional, didn't really fit. It was in great shape, like new really, but was an 80's style particle board deal that just didn't feel right. I finally got around to making the table that I thought would fit better and I'm pretty happy with it. It is very simple, made of weathered wood from free pallets we picked up this past spring. The old wood and cedar branch legs are a much better fit for the cabin. I had enough wood left over to build a rustic end cabinet between the door and sink as well as a few wall shelves. I've still got a few details to finish but they are mostly done and very functional. I've still got gobs of wood left so I'm thinking about how I might put it to use.

PS. At one point in my life, I lived in a tiny, tiny one-bedroom apartment. I used to call it the “shoebox”. Fortunately, it was at least a little bigger than Emma’s studio. Anyway, that’s where the name for this MOC came from.

My house measures 15'x24', very small. The snow has started to slide off the roof. Tomorrow the temperature may hit sixty degrees. This combined with expected rain is going to be disastrous.
