I am on the second floor of an abandoned factory.

On every floor at the end of the staircase there is small room, but this one is different.

Painted in a bright color of green, that has been touched by time. Somebody has added a tiny heart, the dripping paint makes it look like it is bleeding....

Close yp of the tiny green dlowers on one of my trees. They turn into bright blue tiny berries in autumn with bright red calix. A full view of the tree is in comments should be looking good in autumn, have never seen so many flowers on it.

Seems we can no longer add a seperate photo into comments section to add subsidary information. Not happy about that. I used it quit a bit

This is the tiny Christmas tree we went with this year. It's a little sickly looking tree, purchased from Target for $9.99, that needed a good home. In the background, on the wall, are two photos, one I took and processed in my little black and white lab, the other is from ImageKind, a gallery wrap canvas print of Amy and Oliver.

This photograph was generated from three photos of different exposure values merged in Photoshop.

I think this is a Hemiargus ceraunus female. I wish she would have stuck around longer. She perched so beautifully on these tiny flowers, but only held still for a moment. I didn't quite nail the shot as well as I would have liked.

I've always loved these Tiny Witchy Mice, who are trying to wear witchy hats which are just too big for them!

I confess I bought this one simply because it was so tiny and cute. Yixing Zisha clay, holding all of about 28mL before it starts to spill over.

This tiny little botanical book is one of my treasures. The coin shows how small it is, but not only that it is leather bound and has marbled linings to the inside of the covers.

A tiny sweater knit on tiny needles from tiny yarn! Leftover Zwergergarn Opal Rodeo sock yarn from making the fingerless gloves: flickr.com/photos/knitnfrog/309098811/

I was working the pattern out as I went; knit top-down in the round with minimal finishing! (I've read waaaaaay too much EZ!!) I may tweak the pattern again and make more...

Sweater measures just over 2.25" high x 4.5" from wrist to wrist.

Pentremites godonii (Defrance, 1819) - fossil blastoid from the Mississippian of Indiana, USA.

This species is also referred to (incorrectly) as Pentremites godoni.

Blastoids are an extinct group of echinoderms. They resemble crinoids in having a head, or theca, perched atop a long stem of stacked columnals composed of calcite. Crinoids and blastoids are pelmatozoans - stalked echinoderms. Both groups are sessile, benthic, filter-feeding organisms. The overall structure and morphology of crinoid heads and blastoid heads are quite different. Blastoid heads have pentaradial symmetry and somewhat resemble closed flower buds or nuts. They have 5 ambulacral grooves extending outward and downward from the summit of the theca. During life, many thin, delicate brachioles extended from the ambulacral grooves - these structures captured tiny particles of food from seawater as the blastoid engaged in filter feeding.

The complete blastoid specimen shown above is associated with lace-like fenestrate bryozoans (best seen by zooming in on the matrix - click on the photo).

Classification: Animalia, Echinodermata, Blastozoa, Blastoidea, Spiraculata, Pentremitidae

Stratigraphy: Indian Springs Formation, Upper Mississippian

Locality: unrecorded/undisclosed site near the town of Sulphur, Crawford County, far-southern Indiana, USA

I made a set of tiny owls several years ago, and I've continued to make a few over the years. These two are to celebrate a 7th wedding anniversary, which is gold.

Monfragüe is a comarca (a county with no official role) that contains one of the country's fifteen National Parks. The park, recognised by UNESCO as a 'Biosphere Reserve' in 2003, is centred on the tiny hamlet of Villareal de San Carlos, about 25km south-east of the nearest big city, Plasencia and 50km due north of Trujillo. The park area stretches from east to west along the valley of the River Tagus and includes a long mountainous ridge, which the river has cut through, creating on the western side an impressive rock face, the Penafalcon. On the eastern side are the ruins of the 9th century 'Castillo de Monfragüe', from where there are sweeping views of the river and surrounding montains. The River Tietar enters the park from the north-east and joins the Tagus just to the east of Penafalcon. Monfragüe is an outstanding site for raptors, with more than 15 regular breeding species, including the world's largest breeding concentration of Eurasian Black Vulture, a large population of Griffon Vulture, and several pairs of Spanish Imperial Eagle, Golden Eagle and Bonelli's Eagle. Other breeding birds for which the park is important are Black Stork and Eurasian Eagle Owl and there is a high density of Azure-winged Magpie. It is also one of the few locations in Europe where White-rumped Swift breed. The crags and cliffs on the north side of the river, midway through the park, are particularly good locations to watch the raptors and/or take photographs of the stunning rock formations. Throughout the park there are plenty of well signposted miradors and well-maintained hides to make the "birding" experience that much more rewarding. As a destination for walkers and hikers, Monfragüe offers much too. There are plenty more photos of Monfragüe and other Spanish towns/locations if you take a look at my 'Albums' page, www.flickr.com/photos/36623892@N00/sets/ - thank you.
