Periwinkle, Tinkerbell's sister is making sure she's still keeping winter very much alive in some parts of the world.
My TinkerBell LEGO sculpture.
An original MOC (My Own Creation).
Based on the 1953 Disney Classic Peter Pan.
TinkerBell is 1.05 meter tall, has an estimate of 10,000 LEGO parts (no other materials have been used) and took nearly 5 months to design and build.
For easy storage and transport, TinkerBell comes apart in 10 sections. With those sections, setting up TinkerBell is just a matter of a few minutes.
I have not yet made building instructions for TinkerBell, but when there are enough requests, I will make them.

Tinkerbell was mimicking the excited face that I make every time I'm fortunate enough to watch Festival of Fantasy.
Thanks for looking and I'd love any criticism or comments that you may have!

Our Daily Challenge "Pet Portrait"
201/365
Coincidentally, Tinkerbell already had plans to come over to have her portrait done today -so imagine my pleasant surprise to see what today's challenge was! Not that I don't already have a dozen pets of my own to photograph...but this one is just all kinds of adorable. She is love at first sight, full of puppy kisses, yips and attitude bigger than herself. So cute, I just can't even stand it! :)
Same kitty as in this picture:

The first TInkerbell I made was 3D, and broke. I didn't have time to remake her, so did this 2D one instead out of gumpaste.
For my daughter that turned 5 ... she's crazy about Tinkerbell and all her friends ... figurines not edible ...
This image is inspired by the famous 1904 J.M. Barrie play "Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up."
Barrie portrays Tinkerbell as a magical creature, "exquisitely gowned in a skeleton leaf, cut low and square, through which her figure could be seen to the best advantage." Barrie's Tinkerbell is a semi-erotic creature of apparent beauty, which hopefully, translates well in this piece. Through the lens of Steampunk, I have interpreted Tinkerbell as a mechanical-powered fairy to foil her magical characteristics. Her wings operate by a steam engine, powered by a candle, she lights up the room with an incandescent bulb mounted to her headband, fairy dust is distributed through her fireplace bellow a.k.a. the "dust-o-matic" and the "loveliest tinkle of golden bells" is heard when she walks due to the bell ornaments hanging on her body. Other embellishments on Tinkerbell include her body tattoos which outline the map to Neverland, a steampunk butterfly on her arm, and a watch necklace to ward off Captain Hook.
In this scene she has perched herself on a compact mirror on a dresser in the bedroom where Wendy is sleeping. The compact mirror is nestled in a fine silk scarf. A vain fairy, she tries to examine her reflection in the mirror, but first, she looks up to adjust her lamp.
