Chocolate cupcakes for a friend's daughter. Knowing Ryanne, this could have easily been a Transformer cake instead. She's a pretty cool kid.

I used the AA MTM soccer player doll for her. It's not exact but closer than the petite Looks in her skin color.
Disneyland Park

Tink greets visitors at the entrance to Disneyland Park, California.

The bottom layer is vanilla cake infused with maraschino cherry and layered with vanilla cream with chopped maraschino cherries. Middle layer is chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling. Top layer is vanilla cake layered with lemon buttercream. All fondant decorations.
It has been a few days since the rescue, pain meds are working, and Tinkerbell is in much better spirits!
She rolled on her back after being examined by the orthopedic surgeon, so I had to snap this cute shot!
The swelling has gone down, and I am hoping that by early next week we can go ahead with her surgery to fix her leg.
We keep in touch with her family, and once she is ready to travel back home, they will do the long 8 hour drive back to California.

Modified Simplicity 5561 - the hem (obviously) and the neckline in the middle panel. I used a plain green satin overlaid with glittery tulle (netting), and bag-lined it with some green cotton. The wings are made of white buckram that I spray mounted organza onto, trimmed with double-fold bias tape and inserted 16 gauge craft/jewelry wire.
I call the flavor of this cake "Death by Chocolate". The cake was 4 layers of triple chocolate cake filled with Ghirardelli fudge and chocolate mousse, then frosted with chocolate buttercream.
