Over the last few years I have been going to Blackpool to record the last workings of what can only be described as a Blackpool Icon. With the Promonade now in its final stages of a multimillion pound update program and the Tram network remodelling also nearly completion it will not be to much longer before visitors to Blackpool's Golden Mile will be presented with Manchester & Croydon style Trams to travel on. Although the operating company plan to keep around eight Heritage Trams the vast majority of the pre 1970 ones are destine for Heritage Centres or the Scrap Yard. This will probably be my last trip so I decided to see if I was able to capture the everyday scenes at Talbot Road Depot. This is also a site that will be changing in the near future, as I believe this is to become an extension to the Bus Depot which is also situated on the same site. It will be a sad day when the last of these old girls stop operating on the normal timetable.
