The map, routes and timetables of the Berliner Strassenbahn-Betriebs-GmbH/Berlin Tramways Company for Winter 1925; the map states a date of 15 October 1925. At the time the city, like most other European urban centres, had an extensive tramways system.
From the first electric tram in 1881 the system grew rapidly by way of numerous separate companies, including a municipal operator, and these coalesed into the Berliner Strassenbahn-Betriebs-GmbH in 1920. By 1929 further reorganisation saw the undertaking become the BVG. In post-WW2 years the tramways in the Western sector were steadily abandoned until the last tram ran in 1967 whereas in East Berlin the tram remained. Following reunification in 1992 very limited expansion into the "West" has occurred but Berlin is still a major tramway system.

Long before the takeover of Macclesfield depot,Burslem depot operated a few CheshireBus contracted services.(A minibus would have been a better picture as Burslem didn't operate 'deckers).
My favourite route again, back when operated by trolleybuses - not for much longer however, the last running on 30 January 1963 - in the older timetable issues, faretables were included, but theses seem to disappear by the mid sixties and were only printed for the use of staff.
This is a First Bus East Lothian timetable on a bus stop on Haddington Road at Tranent. First Bus no longer operate services in this area. Many timetable have yet to be taken down, so this one may still be in situ.

White's 1826 Directory lists three Coaches from the Waterside Inn:
"The Royal Mail, to London by way of Brigg, Lincoln, Peterborough, and Baldock, (daily) at 9 mg. arr 6 evg.
The Express Post Coach, to London, by the same route as the Royal Mail, daily, except Sunday, at 6 evg arr. half p. 5 evening.
The Safety Coach, to and from Brigg daily, ex. Sunday, arr. quarter p. 9 mg, ret. 5 evg."
Back home, whenever I would want to leave school and go home, I could just
get into my car and go. However, instead, I had to get used to memorizing
the bus schedules so that I could make it in-time to ride the bus back:

One of the prized items from my collections of timetables is the Scottish Region timetable for the period when I was born. Oh for a time machine to give me a spell to travel all over Scotland then with my camera, when we had a more extensive network.
I have kept all the old printed timetables I have picked up and used since the early 1970s, and collected earlier ones.
