(Panthera tigris) The tiger is the largest cat species Today, they range from the Siberian taiga to open grasslands and tropical mangrove swamps. The remaining six tiger subspecies have been classified as endangered by IUCN.
This is an odd piece of machinery. One can understand the open top decker. There is the whole olde-worlde thing from when all deckers were open top. The unobstructed forward view, being able to look down over the sides of the bus at passers-by; and if the rain comes one can always head downstairs and keep dry.
The open top saloon however is a strange beast. It has all the disadvantages of an open top decker (cold wind, rain) and none of the advantages (view, somewhere to shelter).
However none of that prevented this Burlingham bodied Leyland Tiger PS2 from succumbing to the converter's cutting torch. Originally a Ribble vehicle, it was acquired by Southport Corporation who removed the roof..
By 1982 it was to be found parked up in North Wales advertising the Dixieland fun pub and its 'Super HiFi Show' on Fridays and Saturdays. It appears a bit light in the glazing department
