Another shot from the past that I found today. I think the large cats are my favorite to shoot. Of course, that is why I have so many!!

During a family trip to Disney World's Animal Kingdom, I slipped through a crowd of people to see this tiger cooling off in the water. What a cat! J

Tigers are being slaughtered for their skins, bones and every single part of their body. We need to stop this. We need to reach out to more people than ever - we need hundreds of thousands of supporters across the world to help us drive the plight of the tiger up to the top of media and political agendas. We need to raise money to fund the ‘on the ground’ work that will stop tigers being killed.

Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles, California - Indah (meaning "beautiful" in Indonesian) the Sumatran Tiger was born on 10/8/14 at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Washington to Jaya (Mom) and Malosi (Dad). She moved to the Los Angeles Zoo in July 2016. She is seen here sticking her tongue out at her mate, CJ (short for Castro Jr.), who was born at the Sacramento Zoo on 3/3/13.
I believe that this is Lani, the female white Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) at Busch Gardens Tampa. It was definitely nap time when we were there. This shot was taken while I was in the tiger "pop-up" area so I was less than five feet away from her. Kewl!
Edit: this could also be either Charisse or Kanha. Busch Gardens isn't really forthcoming with which tigers they have and/or which ones have been moved to other zoos.

One of the Beautiful Tigers at Whipsnade Zoo... My favorite of the Big Cats... These were very difficult to photograph through two layers of fencing.....

Home to six critically endangered Sumatran tigers.
The Sumatran tiger is a rare tiger subspecies that inhabits the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It was classified as critically endangered by IUCN in 2008 as the population was estimated at 441 to 679.
