She was none too happy to have a camera shoved in her face, but she wasn't going to risk losing her spot on the flower bud to do something about it.

Counting down the days until summer!

A photo taken for a 1984 (the book by George Orwell) English project.

Reflection created due to glass.

Recovering from her de-sexing operation. She was so very cold, even though it's the middle of summer. She was better the next morning and fine on the third day.

Close-up of a tick someone found at Easter.

After zooming in on the picture of the Doe, I noticed all of the deer ticks around her eye. Yuck!

I allowed it to walk on my arm for a few seconds so I could make a picture. then shook if off. Photographed in the Perch Creek Habitat, near Sarnia, Ontario.

I´ve never seen a tick before actually waiting for its prey (me in this case) like this one.

That´s fascinating about doing macro: You discover a whole new world by observing and looking close, and staying at the same spot for some time.

Typical Maine power corridor, this one in West Falmouth, good habitat for Prairie Warblers, Eastern Towhees, Field Sparrows, Indigo Buntings, Common Yellowthroats, Broadwing Hawks, and lots of ticks

I took Ol'Jess out to Catcott Lows today to see what we could see... Blackcaps, Tree creepers and JCBs... And several Common Lizards basking in the sun, I was surprised to see Ticks on the Lizards, but it's not uncommon, they normally attach themselves to the body just behind the front legs...This poor little guy has got one in his ear.

After an afternoon in the bush stalking a "Greater Yellowlegs" shorebird, I was covered in dog ticks. (20+) Pictured here is where I dumped all equipment and clothing. Two ticks had breached the last line of defense - my boxers. I found two on my body in places i will not specify.

So the reason for this photo is a warning - be careful out there! I have decided to spray my bush clothing with Permethrin. I usually try to avoid insecticides - but deer ticks are BAD.

I crawled down into the little ditch along the siding towards the NYS property. I walked out and had ticks on my bag.

Well, nearly all it's forms. I'll make a exception for Ticks!

This one was on Ruben.

I apologize if this picture grosses you out, but I’m sharing it as a warning to other dog owners in Ontario. Tick season started early last month, about two months ahead of schedule, and I’ve already discovered 4 ticks on Rusty including this beast I found today attached to his ear. I decided to treat Rusty for ticks in mid April after finding 2 ticks early on, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. We have a vet appointment at the end of May to test for Lyme Disease and I may ask about a more effective alternative. Currently Rusty is being treated with K9 Advantix II, a topical parasiticide.
