Comments on the reported findings:
1) The thyroid gland just barely reaches beneath the sternal notch.
2) The "soft tissue mass in the right apical region" is due to asymmetry in the positioning of the patient. It is in fact normal supraclavicular tissue (compare the appearance of the ribs and scapula on the two sides).
3) The "multiple punctate calcific foci" in this "soft tissue mass" are tiny veins with contrast in them - the injection was done in the right arm.
4) There is no evidence of any erosion of either the right clavicle or the right sternum (presumably he meant right manubrium). The "punctate calcific/ossific foci" in the clavicle are the trabeculae of the bone marrow. The irregular bony cortex at the right sterno-clavicular joint from degenerative arthropathy may have contributed to this interpretation.
5) There is no lesion to biopsy.

Thyroid Eye Disease with upper eyelid retraction and right upper eyelid paralysis without any blink. Picture was taken 2 weeks after upper eyelid retraction release and insertion of a gold weight. Note the thickening and flattening of the upper eyelid from the implanted weight.

Dash died today 7/11/2016. Kidney failure on top of his thyroid, skin and other body chemistry problems.
This pic was from just two weeks back and he was full of life.
Beautiful, sweet, uncomplaining dog with such a happy face.
We miss him allot but his pains are now all gone.
