We've had heavy thunder and rain all through the night and into the morning. Bastian did not like that, so after a brief check outside he retreated and now watches from inside...

This is not a picture of Thunder Hole... But I am standing at the top of Thunder Hole, taking this picture while listening to the waves thunder as they crash into the small chasm on Acadia's coast. Neat place!
Happy shooting!
Incoming storms around here occasionally have downdrafts of cold air that create pouches called mammatus clouds. I saw this one starting to form so I quickly drove across town to a fairly open location, and the clouds popped just as I got there. They don't last long in one spot, and these would disappear to the southwest as new ones were forming to the southeast. It was quite a show.
I have heard that mammatus clouds could mean a violent storm is on the way, but not much happened this time. There may have been a few drops of rain, but very little reached the ground.
The spot where the Atlantic Ocean collides with the rugged rocky Maine shore is coined Thunder Hole. The water will collide with such force that the observers will get a good soaking about every other wave or so. It was dang near cloudy everyday we were there so I was fortunate to get a bit of color out of the sky on this one. A five second exposure with a 10 stop ND filter during the middle of the day.

Booming thunder shaking the house sends the cats scurrying under beds. Crackling lightning making lights flicker, and rain pouring, pouring down. Mother Nature mimicking my mood.

I have been wanting to photograph a thunderstorm above a tulip field for years, and this year (2021) I finally succeeded.
Last week a nice thunderstorm came over my hometown (well, hometown, a few houses and and a lot of greenhouses). After the rain I sent my drone up to take some pictures, in the back you can see the beach of the North Sea and at the left the Port of Rotterdam. Talking about Rotterdam, did you know I support Feyenoord and they became champion of the Netherlands last week ;).

Johnny Thunder just found a big hole in the ground. Is it a tunnel where pirates hid their treasure? Is it a secret passage to ancient castle? Is it someone's home, sweet home? Very giant someone, probably dangerous...
Oh wow, I took this picture one year ago, and yesterday was the last visit to that area to took the things I forgot and/or left intentionally on the day of moving. *sigh* I loved this place, I wish I wouldn't put off some of my plans to explore the area more. Two and a half years and never found spare money for a hot chocolate in the cafe across the street?! Two and a half years, but I found the most beautiful route in the forest only when I already knew I have to leave?! Two and a half years, but never walked my PC Lego car on those beautiful pavements?! Two and a half years, and still no picture of my giant T-Rex with a fence, because I never had time?! Oh, come on, I am a dictionary definition of delayed life syndrome!
Anyway, I saw that hole in the forest. I think a mouse lives there, I hope it wasn't too stressed out because a curious human shined a flashlight in the hallway. xD Well, their tunnels are long and complicated, so it probably didn't even saw the light, but it probably heard my footsteps above.
I wanted to show Johnny's face, but the soil was too soft and it was tricky enough to place him and avoid falling down...
P.S.
IMPORTANT QUESTION -
Do you see my pictures in your activity feed or in the groups only? Or do you check my profile specifically (like I do with others)?
It seems there is an issue with my pictures in the feeds since July, I contacted the support and they did something, I need to know if the issue is resolved or is it still there. Thanks in advance!
