Howdy friends and an early "Happy Friday" to you all! I won't have time to do an upload in the morning so here is an early present :-) I can't explain why but I really like this photo. I picked a song to go with it which I hope you will enjoy as well.

This is a shot of the evening sun as viewed through a tree in my front yard. I'll catch up on commenting tonight or later tomorrow.

At university I wrote a Lovecraftian story about an ancient evil that pervades a small town, conveyed along "The Old Coach Road". My mum made up ghostly stories about a neighbouring road and this inspired my story.

To prep for a student film of the story in 1993, I made dozens of black and white photos of locations in Blairstown and Hardwick in New Jersey, USA.

This is the interior of a book shop called "Cabbages & Kings". It has since closed.

While the Depot Village section of town centered around the old commercial block and the grand Union Depot feels like the true heart of town, this spot a few miles north is the old Palmer Town Center. The high school, district court, and town hall are all clustered nearby with the railroad cutting right through the middle.

This was the second to last spot of my Mass Central tour of the line chase. The long train has just crossed Main Street at MP 2.8 and is rolling by this nice open field behind the town hall. This is another classic location on the line that amazingly until this chase I'd never before shot.

Passages in a section of the canyon. Sometimes the passage is wide open, and sometimes you really gota squeeze!

The amount of light reflecting off the canyon walls transitions the color from dark purple to bright orange. I accidentally left the polarizer on, but as it turns out, poliarizer actually made the color pop even more.

My camera and I haven't been too close this last week or so. She wants to head out and hit the trails, and I have to keep denying the chance in favor of, well, those various reasons that always seem to get in the way of doing the things we want to do.

Instead, today, when I'm feeling every one of the years I've seen fly by, I decided to dig into the archives and find a moment when the only thing that mattered was the complete cessation of time. When the day kissed the night and everything stood still.

This is a bedroom setup inside of the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, MI that was set in the timeframe of the late 80s/early 90s. As I was exploring the exhibits, I happened to look through the window and saw random people exploring other artifacts on display. Imagine trying to get homework done and you're constantly people watching! Gives a new spin to "street photography!"
