44204, B61 & G513 haul 1877 through Flemington Goods Junction / Lidcombe, Saturday 20th December 2014
2,120 of these USATC S160 class 2.8.0s were built by ALCO, Baldwin and Lima for use in Europe, Aisa, Africa and elsewhere during and just after WW2. 1,200 of these passed through the UK, some being used for a period by the 'Big Four' whilst here.
1888 was built by Lima (8119/43) and is seen here working for the LNER at March North Junction on 24 July 1943. The single barrier wagon seems a little inadequate for such a long line of tankers, unless they are empties.

These tracks run through a little town I went through, Clifford. I had never been there and noticed this as I was driving through. I like tracks and this provided a great vanishing point as well. I have a view in color of the other side with a mill I will post soon.

Origin-
Lewis Tovier was a medical student growing up in New Billundsberg. For the first 20 years of his life, he was generally happy, having a warm relationship with his family and fiancé Gretchen. However, money laundering from the infamous Torched Skull gang resulted in an accident that led to the death of his parents and older sister. Lewis’ grief drove him to pull out of medical school, becoming obsessed with getting justice for his family. After his fiancé left him, unable to cope with his obsession, Lewis travelled to the mythical country of Malalatva, where he received training from some of the greatest fighters in the world. After returning home to New Billundsberg, Lewis, using a mask given to him by Gretchen for Halloween, planned a crusade to take down the Torched Skull gangs operation, and liberate his home from their leader, Robert Octavian.

I exhibited this at Salisbury Arts Centre Thursday 2nd October - Saturday 1st November 2008.
The print it's self is 30x30 cm, (35x35cm including the frame) and is from a limitied edition of 4. Conditions of the exhibition is for the work to be smaller than 40x40cm (including a frame) hence the small print.
Print is up for sale.

This is another shot of Latourell Falls from a different perspective...looking through the trees. We hit this waterfall at just the right time of day, with the sun just starting to light the area but before it got too harsh.
Found this old mill complete with wheel on the trail towards Melynllyn reservoir thought it leant itself to B+W

Early morning...The road leads to West Lake Tohopekaligia as well as Twin Oaks Consveraton Area in Kissimmee, Florida.
This is one of my favorite roads to drive. It's the Needles Highway in Custer State Park. It winds through granite upcroppings, up and down through the Black Hills.
Explored - peaked at #477.
A pair of purple finches has been visiting for a few days. They don't nest nearby, but my way station seems to be a regular resting spot each spring and fall.

L536 with a rough 75I and a Cowl dash 8 get under way after waiting on a few Metra's and Amtrak's to clear.
Last Monday, Akira Tagawa, Kiyoshi Noguchi, Todd Fong, and I met up and wandered around Shibuya on our way to an izakaya, where we enjoyed some delicious food and drinks.

CLF6,CM3306,FQ02 have just taken the crossing loop at Marla yard to cross DA2 intermodal while working 9M21 ballast train to Chandler on 20-8-25.
After a pretty standard sunset at Knowlton church I tried to get some alternative shots and this was just a quick one looking through my 50mm lens looking at a purple flower. I think the flower really looks cool from this perspective!
Through the wildfire smoke inversion, a Kenmore seaplane approaches Lake Union as it passes in front of the Space Needle.
The cheery livery of an Arriva trains Wales class 158 brightens up the scene at Smethwick. The train was the 11.27 Holyhead to Birmingham International service.
The view was taken along the aqueduct carrying the James Brindley contour canal over the straighter line of the Thomas Telford Wolverhampton - Birmingham canal.
The camera was wriggled through the cast iron bridgework and pointed, more in hope than in anger...
