The three wise monkeys (Japanese: 三猿, san'en or sanzaru, or 三匹の猿, sanbiki no saru, literally "three monkeys") are a pictorial maxim. Together they embody the proverbial principle to "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". We landed in a field belonging to Shortbridge Manor Farm. This was in the plans! To the left are the three trees that the pilots were basically aiming towards.

I will frequently buy wine based on creative or clever labels. This is one of those. I saw this at Cost Plus World Market and I just had to get it. I haven't opened it yet so I don't know how good it is, but it gets two thumbs up for the label!

China on Monday began a three-day national mourning for the tens of thousands of people killed in a powerful earthquake which struck the country's southwest on May 12. All national flags will fly at half-mast at home and Chinese diplomatic missions abroad from Monday to Wednesday. Public recreational activities will be halted during the mourning period. At 2:28 p.m. Monday, Chinese citizens nationwide will stand in silence for three minutes to mourn for the victims, while air raid sirens and horns of automobiles, trains and ships will wail in grief.

BEIJING, May 23 -- The quake death toll has risen to 55,239 in Sichuan alone as of 7 p.m., Thursday.
About 83,988 people were rescued. The quake also injured 281,066, while 24,949 are still missing.

During an infant baptism the child is commonly blessed with three handfuls of water at the beginning of his/her life.
Similarly at the end of the life, the body is bid farewell with three scoopfuls of dirt.
In the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
Day 279 of 365 (Sunday) - This weekend together was wonderful for the cousins (and my sister and I!). As they get older they spend more time happily playing as a threesome, rather than switching around with who gets to play with my lovely niece. It was striking to my sister and I how little we had to do to ease the way between them, as they were just so happy all being together. In this shot my daughter is eating a cupcake her cousin brought her back yesterday. She loved sitting there, and at times was munching on her cake whilst getting her hair played with - what better moment could there be in life? My son hates chocolate, so had carefully removed and saved each and every choc chip from his cupcake and was offering them to whoever wanted them.
Our three kitten rescues from last year that I havent posted for awhile, still with us and probably will remain since they have become part of the household. Two sisters and a brother (front) they are the most loving of cats, here taking time out from watching the birds on the feeder.
Mina, Aery, and Maria were the only Koreans adventurous enough to join the party. Aery looks like she's singing.
