Experimenting with effects. A reel of thread in the centre of my glass table. The table is supported by a single silvery pole in the centre, which is reflecting the thread through the glass, & the pink is from the transparent pink chairs which also have silvery legs.

Love these colors. Love these boxed sets. They are like boxes of candy for fiber people.

Over my spare time i would make these braceletes for sale. Not sure if i should start doing them again. Much work but the result totally pays off!

A family meal with my in-laws ... and very nice it was too.

My mother-in-law can probably be described as being an artistic eccentric, and these are the beads that adorn the conservatory doors ... functional in the summer for keeping insects out, and decorative in winter.

blogging the simple things today with christina from soul aperture.

Underside of my practice sandwich (thus the crazy loops and colors). Straight row of stitching on top was my current test. The dark grey is the bobbin thread. The blue tail is the top thread (both Aurifil 50wt) that broke while sewing.

Now it's time to start the hand work -- can't tell here that the organza is really shiny and pretty and gives nice depth. But it does. ;)
