Happy Sliders Sunday!
I used a brightly colored pink and blue fabric as the background for the needle/thread. In post I added some HDR and a Ribbet filter called Panography-ish, then added a drop-shadow frame.
Always one to follow a thread, or a train of thought and after my "From train" up load of the car and the bridge, upon arrival at WBQ, i realized this train was running 180+ mins late, which in turn lead to a rethink, i decided to head back to Earlestown ( not far ) get in the car and drive to here, again not far, with a shot in mind, but also with the opportunity of a practice shot before hand, albeit on a South bound pair of Skoda's,but practice is practice,
Ok, it is far from perfect, but a reasonable attempt, from which i learned a lot, which was the name of the game.
After reasonable pleasure from "Girl on a Bike, i thought i would try a subject with a lot more mass and speed,
With hind sight, i would move further left, and maybe take some steps to stand on, the inside of the drivers door frame was stable, but not high enough, to clear the trees left. and the stable building right. hence the crop.
Oh and possibly on a dry day.........
Actually, I wanted to photograph dew-wetted insects, but at this time of day it doesn't work out so well. At least the lavender is still glittering a little (probably it hadn't moved enough yet as it was fixed with the spider's thread). Happy weekend everybody ☀️

Lucy shredding my curtains one thread at a time and daring me to do something about it. If you look closely she has one thread in her claw. I even try to buy textured curtains so the claw marks don't show as much. It's my little way of getting back at them....ha ha.
Thank you all so much for your visit, faves and comments.
For Macro Mondays - Needle and Thread
The needle of a handheld sewing machine. I decided to do a few stitches.
Happy Macro Monday!
The macro mondays group’s theme for 3/16 is needle and thread; and this is one of the possibilities. I am still learning about macro on the iPhone but I do like its potential......... check out the set-up shot in the first comment box
this was not an easy theme. When I tried the needle against the sequined backdrop it was very tricky to focus.
Macro mondays 26.8.2019 "belong together"
Focus stack (from 56 shots)
size of the eye of the needle: 6 mm
For Macro Monday's theme of Cotton and Definitely Dreaming week 1 theme of Man Made. Keeping these threads separate is a problem!
The cotton reels are small so the whole lot makes the 3 inch size
my thoughts on the laowa 65mm:

shot with a fujifilm x-s10 and a venus optics laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x macro lens
Colourful cotton threads
HMM!

11/52 Needle and Thread - Macro Mondays
I hunted my collection of threads for something a little different and found this gold thread :)
Background: black plastic tray. Light: available light bay window. Thread: Mabel's Coffee: second cup. Made a cup for Ziggy, Satchel and Mabel.
A spool from an old step sewing machine that belonged to my mother
Looking close on Friday's theme: Spools of thread
Photographing a needle, with its thread, using the extension tubes, using a light blue background, to further highlight the object.
Fotografiando una aguja, con su hilo, usando los tubos de extensión, utilizando un fondo azul claro, para destacar más el objeto.
Macro Monday Theme - Contraption
This is a rather simple tool, but I never knew how to use it or thought I needed to. I have had this for a long time and never noticed the directions on back. I used it for my set up and now I think I may start using it. I always seem to learn something new for Macro Monday!
Happy Macro Monday and have a great week!
