Leftover thread from sewing

i crocheted these shawls out of quilting thread a couple of years ago and then never got around to blocking them or listing them till a customer asked about them recently, so i pulled them out to take pictures. i'd forgotten just how many i made! i'll be blocking them all this weekend and then listing them on etsy soon. if you are interested in any before that my email addy is in my profile.

Free-machine embroidery on heavy red canvas

Thread patterns from the cotton, in the process of being woven on a heavy handloom.

when I pull on the ends of the heddle loop, that single thread is raised.

Re-visiting a design done previously (one in red, far right), the visual illusion relies on one of the two stitch threads being the same colour as the background.

11 rows stitched in two colours, #5 perle cotton, on 24.5cm circumference balls, in preparation for my upcoming exhibition at Chrissie Cotter Gallery, Camperdown..

If you turn one of the sticks on its side, every other thread is lifted. This makes it easier to loop the thread heddles through, because the threads you're not working with are out of reach.
