And perhaps he is even more relevant today than ever before. I shot this with a Nikkor 200mm F4 Micro AI on the Fujifilm X-T5.

I went to Venice in early March, to escape the cold weather in Germany. thought it would be warmer and sunnier in Italy. 2nd day I arrived in Venice it was very foggy. I enjoyed seeing Venice in the fog. its something else (1st time I was in Venice, its rainy all da time in Nov, few years back, San Marco was flooded - its fun to see ppl line up stools in the piazza~I remember I saw a dude fell in the water. lol..ok i am mean. :P).

I totally abandoned my map (I'm never a good map-reader anyways *g*), kept it in my camera bag. oh yeah..my bag was way too heavy, with 4 lenses inside! grrr...I took a turn in all the small streets whenever I felt like to, coz I was alone, I could do whatever I wanted to. Btw I went into a lotta cul de sac, went to the end and found its water in front of me. lol..that was what's nice abt Venice, its water everywhere. I LOVE WATER!!! Getting lost is kinda fun I have to say!. And I did enjoy asking the local people the way, using the very few Italian words I know. lol. arrivederci for instance. ok..that means gd bye..wahaha..my Italian really sux..sorry.

I love Italy so much, that was my 7th or 8th time ( emm..I think I lost count, and I am sure I will go there soon enough again!!) to visit the lovely country!!!

I put my hat like this as a joke and my sister dared me to make this a look. She didn't think I was woman enough to post it. So here you go, bitch! XD No full creds since it's just for fun.

Also, trying out a different way to do my pics, what you guys think?

Sometimes...the path ahead is clear. Sometimes, it's a little bit fuzzy. But, if you just keep moving forward, you'll end up somewhere. Deep Thoughts.

We did a small after-lunch hike in my hometown Schuders in the Swiss Alps. The water fountain offered an interesting view - strings of algae formed around the metal grid.

I processed a balanced and an enhanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them, and carefully adjusted the curves.

Woke on the second day of our cruise to a stopped ship. A passenger was ill and needed transported by one of ship's lifeboats to a remote airfield. There would be an emergency flight of 150 miles to a medical center for treatment. Another seasoned passenger thought the bill for this could run about $300,000. That's a good reason to buy travel insurance. On the last day of the 9 day cruise we got back from breakfast and learned that the passenger in the suite next to ours had died of a heart attack and they were moving the body to the ship's morgue.

Thinking about my lady Mizzy

This is an excerpt from the novel Irma Voth by Miriam Toews. Toews was the lead actress in the Carlos Reygadas film Silent Light and writes from a Mennonite perspective. She is from Canada. This photo is from Utrecht but this girl reminds me of many of the descriptions of Mennonites in terms of fair hair and skin and sort of a natural look-nothing too fancy, of course. I would recommend her writing as well as the film Silent Light, which is incredible. Irma Voth gives some glimpses into what that film was like to make so is recommended reading for anyone who enjoyed the film.

Thank you everyone for viewing my site. I greatly appreciate it. Flickr has become an outlet for pictures that I never thought I'd take. Thank you Dad, for the camera! Almost 11,000 views!

Thought I'd try some vintage grain to this since it seemed so blazay...this is the same house that is in "for sale" shot...just zoomed in. You'll notice the tin roof curled by the chimney. Wind or a tornado peeled it back many years ago. I love that oak tree. I know this looks unlevel but it's the failing roof and the slant of the land.
