This is for the Rainbow week group and the color for Saturday is INDIGO. (Hex triplet #32127A is Persian Indigo)
Finally, Indigo spoke, much more quietly than all the others. "You hardly notice me, but without me you all become superficial. I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep water. You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer and inner peace."

Chakra Six - Associations
The Brow Chakra is associated with the color indigo. It is also often referred to as the "third eye" or the "mind center." It is our avenue to wisdom - learning from our experiences and putting them in perspective. Our ability to separate reality from fantasy or delusions is in connection with the healthfulness of this chakra. Achieving the art of detachment beyond "small mindedness" is accomplished through developing impersonal intuitive reasoning. It is through an open brow chakra that visual images are received.
* Color - indigo
* Physical Location - center of the forehead
* Purposes - action of ideas, insight, mind development
* Spiritual Lesson - understanding, reality check point, detachment, open mind
* Physical Dysfunctions - brain tumors, strokes, blindness, deafness, seizures, learning disabilities, spinal dysfunctions, panic, depression
* Mental and Emotional Issues - fear of truth, discipline, judgement, evaluation, emotional intelligence, concept of reality, confusion
* Information Stored Inside Sacral Chakra - seeing clear picture (symbolic or literal), wisdom, intuition, mental facilities, intellect
* Area of Body Governed - brain, neurological system, eyes, ears, nose, pituitary, pineal glands
Gemstones and Flower Essences that stimulate, cleanse and energize the brow chakra
* Gemstones - Purple Flourite, Sugalite, Lapis (which is on the ring I am wearing.)
* Flower Essences - Wild Oat, Queen Anne's Lace, Madia

This painting is inspired by “The Mother Of Faces” a spirit who
only appears in the Avatar Last Air Bender comic “The Search.” As with many of the characters in the Avatar world, Mother of faces is a fascinating and strong female archetype (IE: Compassionate Mother Protector and Gentle Giant) that shows great heart and generosity while still commanding respect and awe. The mother’s ability to emerge and
become mightier than the very mountains around her sacred pool was especially inspiring to me. I enjoyed exploring and expressing her tremendous scale within my painting, while also aiming to capture her surreal beauty and grace. As an artist, I usually gravitate to subject matter related to the sacred feminine, warrior women, and the paranormal or metaphysical. I saw all of these things in The Mother of Faces and felt she would lend herself well to my painting approach as well as my existing body of work.

Twelve years into the Amarna Period Queen Nefertiti disappeared. Her body has never been found, we will never know what happened to the Queen she will forever remain a mystery.
I had so much fun painting with Jennifer Korsen in the Fame Yard on Melrose in LA during my visit to California. I will be uploading a video of the experience on my youtube channel shortly, so stay tuned!

Doodles in my art journal before work today...even the smallest effort made, maybe 5 minutes with these, is so worth it. I can focus and zone out/in and relax while making art, especially doodles like these where I'm not concerned with right/wrong and can be in a flow of just making marks quickly.
