"They set me on fire and I did a lot of burning.

Told me I didn't know things I thought I knew for certain.

But I, I don't mind"

This is a Bembecine Sand Wasp (genus Steniolia, Bembicini, Hymenoptera) on new flowers of native California Aster (Corethrogyne filaginifolia, Asteraceae) in the woods today. Yep, they have remarkable goggle-like eyes, but what gives with that amazing "third eye" between its two real eyes -- the mark of the Illuminati?? (San Marcos Pass, 3 September 2022)

Open your eyes with the New Illuminati @ nexusilluminati.blogspot.com

The invisible third eye is supposed to provide perception beyond the ordinary physical sight. It refers to the opening of spaces of higher consciousness, a state of enlightenment.

I don't know if I'll be able to open this third eye, but I'm trying. I'll keep trying... I have questions that I need answers to.

I had almost forgotten that I had taken this quite recently... I have been so busy lately that time seems to just fly by...

Most limit their visit of Jodhpur to the old citadel, considered by many to be the true heart of the city. Still, no heart beats without the veins that irrigate it with life. In the case of Jodhpur, without the little streets that spread around the old fort like a spiderweb of arteries. And each of those streets throb with the vibrant life, the thousands of tiny human treasures that characterize India so well. Children, sellers, animals of all sorts...and were you to look hard enough, a little school hidden between two houses...

I am having a blast experimenting with painting my pen and ink illustrations with tea.

The Chinese fishing nets (Cheena vala) of Fort Kochi (Fort Cochin) in the City of Kochi (Cochin), in the Indian State of Kerala, are fixed land installations for an unusual form of fishing — shore operated lift nets.[1] Huge mechanical contrivances hold out horizontal nets of 20 m or more across. Each structure is at least 10 m high and comprises a cantilever with an outstretched net suspended over the sea and large stones suspended from ropes as counterweights at the other end. Each installation is operated by a team of up to six fishermen.

The system is sufficiently balanced that the weight of a man walking along the main beam is sufficient to cause the net to descend into the sea. The net is left for a short time, possibly just a few minutes, before it is raised by pulling on ropes. The catch is usually modest: a few fish and crustaceans — these may be sold to passers by within minutes.

The system of counterweights is most ingenious. Rocks, each 30 cm or so in diameter are suspended from ropes of different lengths. As the net is raised, some of the rocks one-by-one come to rest on a platform thereby keeping everything in balance.

Each installation has a limited operating depth. Consequently, an individual net cannot be continually operated in tidal waters. Different installations will be operated depending on the state of the tide.

It is received wisdom that the nets are Chinese in origin. This is not as improbable as the 5,000 km distance from China might suggest — Kochi is a very important centre for the spice trade attracting traders from far and wide. Some suppose that the nets were introduced by the Chinese explorer Zheng He.

The Chinese fishing nets have become a very popular tourist attraction, their size and elegant construction is very photogenic and the slow rhythm of their operation is quite hypnotic. In addition, catches can be purchased individually and need be taken only a short distance to a street entrepreneur who will cook it.

Cheryl is well on her path...She wanted to open her back Chakra's up and decided that a henna session may help put that into motion... It was a wonderful session for both of us :0)

I love this tank top for its dual meaning- it's a snarky message right across my boobs that few people seem to understand- instead of saying "look at my face, jerk" it tells anyone who reads to look at my third eye. Ba ha ha.

I'm home from the wedding... finally. What a marathon that was. I'm thankful it's over and I get my life back, of course, but I'm also super-thankful for the entire process and what I learned.

Watching my sister plan her wedding taught me about what I want in my relationship, future, and maybe someday future wedding. This is a big change- I always thought I hated marriage until recently. Whaddya know. :)
