Lucy sucks on her sucky bear at least once a day. It soothes her to the point of almost being in a trance. She has a house sucky bear (her pink hippo) and a car sucky bear (this blue teddy bear). Car sucky bears have shorter lifespans because when Lucy gets wound up, car sucky bears take it in the shorts.

On our drive to Montana, she was very squeaky and impatient and driving me crazy. I kept telling her to tell it to sucky bear! Finally she did, riding in the front seat.

Broadway in the Third Ward is such a great street. It is so dramatically different from Broadway on the other side of I-794.

"Between Mommy's feet is the best place to lay down. Too bad she always moves after a minute or two."

Seriously, she does this all the time.

Yeah I know technically I'm not supposed to make copies of the class photos, copyrights, blah, blah.

My uploading of this photo has no influence on the number of hardcopies I ended up purchasing from the photographer.

Vilém Flusser believes that the man has experienced three major disasters: the humanization (process of becoming a human or to make something humane); when in reference to the use of prehistoric techniques; the civilization, when referring to the customs of living in society; and the third catastrophe, which has not yet been named, but is known as “the third”. It is signaled by the return of nomadism, as people can no longer remain in their homes. But this nomadism has new characteristics, because it is no longer the body that travels phisically, it only “sets its spirit free in the wind.”

Third Day of Trek - 6/7/2014

Needed a third hand to pull it parallel to sides. Had to loosen almost everything to be able to get the slide true. Found it was out when Y carrage halted after ~200mm travel. Spacers had ground hard against slots in cover.

First day of third grade!

This image was made on a grey day in North Nottinghamshire. With the assistance of my little ones and a playground round about I was able to acheive the minimal tonal image I was working on. Needless to say I did feel somewhat green after the third attempt to get the motion just right. I wonder if I have taken minimal a little too far? I think it will be a case of marmite......... you'll love it or hate it!

Third Attempt. Poblenou.

HERE IS THE STORY:

26.1.2010 I fall in love with this piece of this great artist on flickr. Gaia and I got an agreement.. We will paste one Granfather in Barcelona! Andrea from Btoy can generously help us with the secret art of pasting up under the moon...

28.4.2010 The piece arrived. WOW.

20.5.2010 11.30pm A group of fellas pasted up the huge Gaia poster and a beautiful Btoy. Three hours later the posters had gone.

21.5.2010 Morning. The kidnapper contacted us. "I wanted them to decorate my bar". Do you mind?

YES we do mind.

This afternoon we got them back. Yihahuuuu!

8.6.2010 Second attempt. Grandfather was so heavy due to the dry glue of the attempt 1 that the "normal glue" was not enough.... Grandfather literally was fading away in wet pieces in our hands during the process... But after a minutes of terror we managed to restore it pasting pages of newspaper in the back.

Grandfather came home again to dry and is prepared for the third and definitive attempt with super hiper extra strong acrylic glue that we are going to bring this time.

We were so sad again that I was with no words to explain it on flickr.

2.7.2010 The piece is restored. The glue is Superglue with extra powers. Ana takes photos. Mireia watch out for the cops... Grandfather and the beautiful piece of Andrea pastes very well... JOB DONEEE. Welcome Barcelona.

Thank you Andrea, Mireia, Toni, Ana, Eduard, Sergi, Leo for being there!
