I think entirely too much. I over think things. I use Flickr to get some of those thoughts out of my head. I will catch myself in a trance of deep thought and realize that it has carried me far away. It takes effort to snap out of it and focus on something more mundane and simple. I make jokes and act goofy most often in order to balance out these intense moments of thought. My people don't know this. I wish I could slow my mind and be more simple -not so serious even when I have no distractions.

A photo of my friend Brian deeply engaged with his Canon T3 instruction manual. Taken from his newly acquired T3!
This card was inspired by Mindy Eggen on Day 4 of the Spring Card Camp. I didn't have a good floral background stamp, so I did some repeat stamping with the beautiful peony stamp from Simon Say Stamp Best Friend Forever. I embossed it with white EP. I ended up cutting out the gel plate step, and applying the Nuvo Shimmer powders right to the panel. I felt like I got more of the shimmer, and more varied color this way. I finished it with still one of my favorite SSS sentiments from Sending Happy Thoughts. It's one of those stamps that is so well used, it barely sticks to a stamp block! :) The current SSS Flickr Challenge is May Flowers, so I'm linking there.

The best way to learn is by doing. And the only way to start thinking as a designer is to live it. To feel the uncertainty in your bones when you embark on a design journey. That’s why Design A Better Business organized a World Tour of workshops, with 5 major events on different continents. Participants of these workshops experienced and learned what it means to think and work like a designer. See designabetterbusiness.com for more information.
I made this card using a Cling stamp. More details on my blog:

paso simplemente como tenia que pasar. simplemente apareciste sin haber llamado por ti. haces que las cosas recuperen sentido, que los sueños tomen nuevas formas y que estos se quieran compartir. me siento feliz, me haces feliz.

This more individual monkey was thoughtfully scratching its head as the rest of the gang howled at the on lookers.
