I've been thinking things over too lately.

Oh by the way, did you spot the camouflaged little thing in the previous pic?

Have a good weekend!

I made this card with Shari's Sketch #1.

All the distressing are done with Tim Holtz Distress Ink except for the owl. He is colored with Copic markers.

I stamped Designer Woodgrain on a piece of kraft cardstock and drew a tree branch then cut out. I then distress the edges with some distress ink.

The talk bubble is from a winter animals set that came out last winter (I think), but I don't have the packaging anymore so can't tag it. Sorry about that.

Alice's {Little} Wonderland

It’s Movie Night again and Stormtrooper Bruce wants to mix things up a bit. The guys are usually up for anything and have often said they have come to expect the unexpected. But he’s pretty sure they never expected this.

TK-432: Vader’s Dogs! What up with the tv? Hope this isn’t one of Fett’s pranks again!

TK-1110: And what’s up with that paper bag? If it’s healthy food, I’m outta here!

STB: Settle down ladies. I think you’ll be pleased with what I’m about to say. If you can guess what’s in the bag, you get to pick tonight’s movies. You each get three guesses. So choose carefully.

TK-432: What? Are you playing Bilbo and we’re Gollum and Smeagol, guessing what’s in your filthy pocketses?

STB: Yes, something like that. So… go ahead and guess away.

TK-1110: We’ll it’s almost Cinco de Mayo so I’m hoping tonight is an early celebration. Is there a sombrero? A piñata? An Aztec calendar?

TK-432: Hey, I like your thinking! Is there a ton of tacos? A bunch of nachos? A gallon of Margarita mix?

STB: Wow! I can not believe you two. Are those your final guesses?

TK-432: OK, I’ll play along with your three guesseses – Handses. Knife. String-nothing.

STB: Wrong, all wrong. What about you – are you going to change your guesses?

TK-1110: Nope. There’s no way in the Great Galaxy we could possibly guess what’s in there. You’re just messing with us!

STB: Well, you might be surprised. Because I actually DO have an Aztec Calendar! Found it in the Library the other day. Something else they were getting ready to toss.

TK-1110: You’re joking! I never win anything. Wowzer! So I really get to pick the movies tonight? Well, fasten your seatbelts fellows. It’s going to be a bumpy ride!

STB: So, I’m guessing that's your clue to what we’re watching?

TK-432: Nothing says Cinco de Mayo like an HP movie marathon. So let’s hurry up and board that Night Bus and get this evening started!

*** And May the Fourth be with us all, too!

By Rumi:

“Put your thoughts to sleep,

do not let them cast a shadow

over the moon of your heart.

Let go of thinking.”

Today's challenge for ODC is one that my inital response was to ignore and not do - the topic?

'Our parents war'

i.e. something that depicted something they were passionate about,

or even wider possibilities..

The person who set this topic is supremely creative so I hope he'll forgive me for deciding that the freedom to think - whoever we are and whatever our history - is both simply and profoundly vital!

We are all part of this wider entity we call "Earth".

Access to sufficient open spaces to gain perspective matters!

Deeply away in my thoughts

A CASE of a card on Pinterest. Used the Hero Arts Large Flower background stamp (love that stamp) and Distress inks-Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn.

Well sometimes, in a fit of madness, one will do some crazy shit...umm, like wake up at the un-Godly hour of 4:00 am, in order to drive to a location some kilometers away, with a couple of other like-minded nutjobs, so as to capture with a photographic tool of some sort, the sun as it rises above the horizon.

Its time to put those thinking lights on and bury my head in the books so rich with knowledge and full of learning. I have been so lifted from the comments you sweet caring people made on my previous photo that i just couldn't resist to upload today! Couldn't thank you all personally but I'm seriously so happy to meet so many wonderful people here. You guys know who you are. The support here really touched me and I'm still here, and will continue to try as this is my outlet and my inspirations come to life through taking this journey. Going to Uni and being a Mum at the same time is hard work 'big sigh' Not sure what i can handle at the moment so will just take things one day at a time.....

Have a wondeful weekend all you lovely Flickr People! :)

To me, lighting really sets the mood for a room. A 40 watt bulb in a cheap lamp is the same as a 40 watt bulb in an expensive one.

I was thinking about something... It doesn’t matter if one cat is from Senegal and the other is from Indonesia. They both like to play with a paper ball and they both would love to have some fresh tuna. All cats share the same concerns, the same needs, the same feelings. We don’t care about race, religion, economic status and other minor details humans keep fussing about.

She's been in Barcelona for almost a decade, that I'm aware.

She walks with a stoop, has worn similar clothing in the 10+ years and exuded an aura of mystery.

I like this photo a whole lot.

The picture above is the first photo I took of her.

This day, the sun light was at its best.

She was walking and pacing in that way when one is "asking" for money from the tourists.

I looked around the Cathedral to observe any persons of interest, (meaning YOU!).

I turned and I saw her sitting with the light enveloping her.

I clicked, wouldn't you?

May be the last photo I take of her but I've learned never to say never.
