Well sometimes, in a fit of madness, one will do some crazy shit...umm, like wake up at the un-Godly hour of 4:00 am, in order to drive to a location some kilometers away, with a couple of other like-minded nutjobs, so as to capture with a photographic tool of some sort, the sun as it rises above the horizon.

A westbound intermodal train on BNSF’s busy Transcon rolls westbound through Ludlow, California. Sometimes you spend so much time setting up for the head-end shot, that you miss a golden opportunity for an even better shot. This was the case here. I really wasn’t thinking of a going away shot, but luckily, all I had to do is turn around to photograph the spectacular glint light on the sides of the containers.
Made this for Jennifer's Thinking inking Week 5....

Thinking about all my lovely friends I will miss meeting this year as a result of the cancellation of the 2020 Keystone Transgender Conference. I realize that it was a wise decision and I know a painful one as well. My girlfriends here at home are so thoughtful trying to cheer me up and they certainly have. Over the coming weeks we will be visiting some safe local venues. Stay safe and well my darling friends. We will meet again next year.

Candid shot of Mick the biker in the Coastal Rider Cafe Blackpool. If he knew I was shooting him, it would have been a different expression entirely!
I want a frame for the squares that has some flexibility to adjust to different sizes. Part of the problem is that there are studs that need to be allowed for sticking out of the brackets. So I put 1x2 tiles on them and slide them to the right spot, which messes with the geometry. So the 9x9 square with a 2x2 stud border worked fine. I kept thinking smaller ones should be easily frame-able too. So I tried a 4x4 square on a 6x6 stud base, but it was just ever-so-slightly too tight. Here is a 3x3 on a 5x5 base, and it is ever-so-slightly too loose. You can see how all the grey pieces don't snap right in to where they ought to be. It all becomes a huge mathematical mess.
But then problem-solving is fun.
