I think that you can all tell that I am in a philosophical mood these days. There are so many complications in life that we, the people, have to solve and surely at the forefront is our inability to let go of the negative forces and embrace the positive ones. It is time for us to collectively come up with good reasons to work together for the better for ALL. In the long run, selfishness does not gain us anything, in fact we lose! Let's find ways to help one another, make the world a smaller place in which all are welcome. It is possible, we can and must do it!!!

Bee-flies are fascinating insects that have mastered the art of mimicry. These agile, fluffy, flying creatures look similar to bees, but they are in fact flies. They have only one pair of wings, whereas bees have two, and their most unmistakable feature is a long, straight, straw-like tongue, known as a proboscis.
One of the first bee-fly species seen in spring is the dark-edged bee-fly (Bombylius major), common across Britain and a frequent garden visitor. It has yellowy-brown hair, a long tongue, and darkened wing edges that extend halfway across each wing.
Bee-fly behaviours
One peculiar behaviour displayed by the bee-fly is its slow-moving hover where it lightly touches the ground. It keeps its legs slightly grounded, while slowly and gently brushing the surface with its abdomen – if you look closely, you can see the abdomen creates movements in the sandy surface. This is because the bee-fly is scooping up sand and mud to coat its eggs for camouflage.
This camouflage is important, as bee-flies will lay their eggs in unsuspecting solitary bee burrows, hovering over the burrow entrances before catapulting their eggs inside. As the eggs hatch, the bee-fly larvae spend their time maturing in the nest, eating up the pollen stores that the solitary bees have left for their own young. Although this sounds like bad news for the bees, a healthy population of bee-flies means that you have a good population of bees.
This is a Tea Plantation in Tanah Rata, Malaysia. It wasn't the perfect day to visit it but in the end the clouds gave a nice dramatic sky for this picture.

I think this must be 33 ft Epic schooner built in 2014 designed by Ed Louchard. It was built by the Community Boat Project which has sought for over a decade to create the ultimate non-motorized educational vessel. Schooner-rigged, rowing 8 oars and capable of the multi-day unsupported sailing expedition, Epic is an ultimate teaching platform for all ages. Its home port is Port Hadlock, WA. I loved Kodak film and I love that this photographic studio is painted yellow.
Kodak are an interesting company so powerful for so long with their excellent film and printing paper. The wonder slide film for so many year so dominant. The company in my youth was like Apple 🍏 today so all I can say is watch out Apple you are only dominant for now. I would like to say I’m using an iPad to post this!!!!

I think in every human culture parents, especially mothers, are highly respected and loved. In my flock, among lovebirds, mother Tauno is no execption. She is definitely respected and loved, also by me :), and she is never left alone. There are always either her spouse Lorenzo, or two other younger males, Meri or Pyry, with her. I don't know, if she remembers, who her youngsters are, but from the four of them, Tiuku has very warm relationship with his mother. Tauno is the oldest lovebird in my flock, the undisputed queen of it. I don't know her exact age, but it is somewhere between 10...13 years.
Think this girl went a little overboard with her rouge.
Actually, I'm wearing all red today and feel about as out-there as this! So not a red person.
