I think every photographer has some pictures that are not a kind of his usual, some other genre. Here is such a pic I took some time ago in the village, in the back yard of my friend's house. I like all these subjects. They may tell a story about the life we do not already remember.

Thank you for all the comments and faves, my friends.

It won't be long now!

Robbie Williams - My Way.

Frank Sinatra made his performance of this song a legend,

´cos he sang it with his unique voice.

Robbie Williams was one of the few, who sang this with his whole soul..

(...)

I've lived, lived a life that's full

Travelled each and every highway

And more, more than this

I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few

But then again, too few to mention

I did what I had to do

I saw it through without exemption

I planned each chartered course

Each careful step along the by-way

And more, more than this

I did it my way

Yes, there were times

I guess you knew

When I bit off more than I could chew

But with it all, when there was doubt

I ate it up then spit it out

I grew tall through it all

And did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried

I had my fill, my share of losing

And now, as tears subside

I find it all amusing

To think I did all that

And may I say, not in a shy way

No, no not me

I did it my way

For what is a woman, what has she got?

If not herself, then she has naught

To say the things she truly feels

And not the words of one who kneels

The record shows I took the blows

And did it my way

I think this is a tent caterpillar on the sidewalk.

I think this looked like something from the 1960’s

I think this may have been a Dark Eyed Junco, as I have another shot similar to this one. I was just lucky to catch the photo as he picked up a worm.

Temperatures are expected to be "much above normal" in the San Diego area and throughout Southern California by Thanksgiving, the National Weather Service said Sunday.

Coastal areas are expected to see highs in the mid-to-low-80s beginning Tuesday, with that day's highs predicted to be a full 10 degrees higher than the Monday's in some places.

Inland areas are expected to see even higher temperatures.

Highs of as much as 90 degrees are predicted for Escondido and Ramona on Wednesday.

Couldn't think of an adequate story to go with this image. I'm drawn back to what it means to me looking at it. All I could think about was this song. It reminds me of my older brother I guess. Perhaps because I sat alone when photographing this scene, watching the darkness envelope these beautiful mountains and wished I wasn't. It brought back memories of many a late night spent with my older brother when we were teens. I took great comfort and trust in our conversations, his advice and opinion. We talked about everything under the sun and I remember many times sitting together and watching the stars rise high in the skies like a million tiny lanterns. It was my brother who also showed me this song before he left for boot camp. Since then we've both grown up and moved to different states but I think of those nights often when I'm up late.

Here's to

starry skies and memories of long nights... to loved ones who were willing to sit with us in both the cover of darkness and in the beauty of light.

Thank you as always for listening to my ramblings...

Happy Bokeh Wednesday

This plant was still flowering in Octobre, I think it is Monkshood, but I'am not sure.

I'am not totally content about this photo, because of the white spot, but I don't know how to improve it. Not enough skills with PS! I still wanted to upload this to find out what you think about it.

Thank you for taken your time to visit me, comments or faves are

always much appreciated!

ELS 501 rolls south near Beecher Wisconsin after swapping trains with the Channing crew at Pembine. Temps are in the mid 40s with steady rain and thick rolling fog on this mid March day. The 501 is a former Milwuakee Road unit and is right at home on the former Milwaukee Road mainline to Green Bay.

I think they know they are gorgeous....😁❤️

An example of the wall art that is appearing all over Croydon. Very nice and it also helps to prevent that awful graffiti which seems to be ubiquitous.
