I am looking for an aesthetic, something that might represent myself and the kinds of things I enjoy. I've been looking for this aesthetic for some time now in my photography, always experimenting with the editing techniques. My latest experiments have been with gradients and textures. And now, finally, I am getting into the kinds of photos I really enjoy, the ones that have a vintage feel. I want the photos to look aged and yet I want them to, at the same time, be diverse in color scheme and subject. Eric has created some amazing textures for me that I have used excessively. I continue to have the debate with myself whether I should minimize my editing or just go with how I feel. After doing these photos and finally feeling like I'm starting to get to what I've been aiming for all this time, I've decided to perform the latter of those two. In addition to taking these photos, I want to mark them as my own. This is how I will do it. This is how I will be happy with the results.
It is, perhaps, much too thought out, but it has been aggravating me for some time now, and I am so happy that I can at last be comforted with knowing which direction I am going to go. Hope y'all like!
