Rough sea at the coast of Mosteiros on Sao Miguel, where people come to swim in the natural pools of crystalline water resulting from volcanic activity,
“Frequently consider the connection of all things in the Universe. Reflect upon the multitude of bodily and mental events taking place in the same brief time, simultaneously in every one of us and so you will not be surprised that many more events, or rather all things that come to pass, exist simultaneously in the one and entire unity, which we call the Universe. We should not say ‘I am an Athenian’ or ‘I am a Roman’ but ‘I am a Citizen of the Universe'.”
― Marcus Aurelius

For Baz, my universe. I love you.
Steubenville, Ohio
Peedee's Brunch & bar is still open
Spent time Steubenville from 1975-83 when the mills were running and there was still business to get or keep. It's about 40 miles from Pittsburgh with good roads.
Devoting time to art, within the Protestant Cemetery in Rome. A sort of suspended time lived within reality, while urban life rushes silently forward, outside.
A matter of intimacy of atmosphere.
Sometimes beauty is out of reach and you can only just look at it. Sometimes it’s right in front of us and we don’t even see it. Hope you all enjoy!
“Things work out in the end. If it hasn’t worked out, it’s not the end. So, until the end, keep your heart open and expect good things."
~Sonia Choquette,
A dear friend shared this quote with me today and I wanted to share it with you!

I was driving through the streets one night
At the corner with the bar you like
I thought I saw the car you drive but it wasn't green
These neighborhoods all look the same
That's why you had to move away
When people ask that's what I say but they know I'm lying
I still see you
You still see me
But we don't see each other anymore
I still love you
You still love me
We can't love each other anymore
Can we?
I found this feather wrapped around a branch with berries in the wind. I liked the composition and background for it. Sometimes, it is the little things in life that make you smile.
My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.
-- Albert Einstein
There was a debate in my house about when to take the Christmas decorations down. In the end, we took down half of them one day, the other half the next day. . We invested in a really useful bauble box some years ago and we placed them gently into this. Then up in the attic they go until next Christmas. One last chance to shine here.
Water tower in Dixon, California. They are in every town in the Central Valley. I was watching Alex Kilbee of The Photographic Eye on his YouTube channel and his video “3 Easy Exercises to Improve Photography Skills.” I drove out into the countryside with the dogs and two cameras, just shooting everyday things here. Got as legally close as I could to the water tower and took a shot in color and liked it. Then took a black and white shot with a blue filter and liked it better. Well, that’s all there is.
