...went to Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden with Karen and Masha today looking for things to shoot with our two D800's and one D600... it was a meeting of the new Nikons! lol...

Obviously, unlike the work David Hockney...this is actually a single shot made to look as if it is composed of multiple shots.
I can only hope Katie doesn't want her modelling fee increased as a result of me producing this variation? You know how demanding top models can be (and Katie is very obviously a star!) :-)

My father left his office stuffs at the table before he went to sleep. He did not know that I took this picture just to post here tonight. I'm just sharing it. Lol.

I did a 16 things image some time ago, but things have changed and I have decided that the time is now right to revisit it.
16 things:
1. I have spent 34 years of my life feeling different and "at odds" with the world. I knew that I did not share the world view or thinking patterns of the majority of the people I came into contact with, but did not understand why, and was starting to believe that I was going mad. Every day I was hiding myself behind a facade of normality whilst knowing that the person other people saw was not me. I have now discovered, with the help of my friends, that I am not "mad" but merely different, and on the 15th November this year I was diagnosed as having Asperger's Syndrome , a form of Autism. I do not see this as a bad thing as i finally can begin to understand and accept my differences and to be proud of them as something which makes me an individual. My "normal" is probably not yours, but it is still normal!
2. I am in a polyamorous relationship, which means I have two partners. We are very happy together and are all very much in love. They are both talented guys and they understand and love my differences almost as much as I do. Lot's of people think that polyamory is something weird or that there must be something wrong with us, but I can assure you that that is not the case. In many ways I think poly relationships make a lot of sense as financial concerns are shared between more people and in the event of disagreements there is always a third person who can help to resolve things!
3. Yes, I am wearing a kilt! I have Irish ancestors and the kilt I am wearing is the Irish national tartan. I love wearing my kilt and feel it is a very practical garment. I enjoy going walking in it, despite the strange looks I get from other walkers!
4. In common with a lot of Aspergic people I prefer to be referred to as an "Aspie" rather that Aspergic or Autistic.
5. What I most like to be referred to as,though, is James,my real name, or Saesno, my flickr name. These names reflect who I am not "what" I am.
6. I have trouble telling some colours apart, so some shades of brown look green to me, and some shades of blue look purple. I have a fairly limited colour palette in my wardrobe so that I know everything will go together ok.
7. While other children had pop stars and actors as heroes, my heroes were Isambard Kingdom Brunel and Sherlock Holmes.
8. I love railways and will, if allowed to do so, talk endlessly about them. My favourite railway is The Ffestiniog Railway and I know a massive amount about its history and development.
9. I was able to hold a fairly reasonable conversation at the age of one, a fact which astounded my grandmother when I asked her for something I wanted. My mother has no idea that this was unusual, so only realised how advanced I was from other people.
10. I love reading and often escape for long periods into books. The longest time I have spent reading was about 7 hours, I think.
11. My favourite fiction authors are Terry Pratchett and Arthur Conan Doyle. I love non-fiction, especially histories and biographies. I love the Victorian period and read about it a lot. I believe it was a time when eccentricity, especially if coupled with ability in a certain field, was accepted and cultivated, allowing unusual people to thrive. I feel we could learn a lot from the Victorians about accepting certain kinds of difference, though I accept that their attitude to certain disabilities and illnesses also leaves a lot to be desired.
12. I have a mild form of face-blindness, and so I have learned to identify people I know by other means, using stance, dress and voice as pointers. I do not have pictures of people I know in my head, which makes it very difficult sometimes for me to describe people. I think that this is why I enjoy taking portraits as it gives me a "fixed" image of someone to refer back to.
13. I get into "food ruts" as i call them, and will become "stuck" on a certain food. I knew that this was happening when my local sandwich shop stopped asking me what I wanted for lunch and just made me my usual chicken sandwich with salad and mayonnaise!
14. I find it difficult to sustain friendships and so have lost a lot of people over the years by not making an effort to retain contact. I am now working on putting this right, and re-forging old links. I hope to hear from lots of people I miss.
15. I want to help others to have the support I have had, so next year I intend to walk Hadrian's Wall to raise money for the National Autistic society. I have intended to do this walk for years and never done it, so I want to carry through on my plans and turn the effort to good at the same time.
16. I believe that being an Aspie does not mean I am disabled, but means that I have different abilities to other people - I may not be able to look you in the eye without making a huge effort to do so, but I would be prepared to bet that my ability to absorb information and to remember things about subjects that interest me is way above average! I have my eccentricities and "tics" but they will not hold me back in moving on towards the future with a positive attitude.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my revised 16 things. I intend to produce more of them as things change for me as it is a wonderfully cathartic exercise.

01. Neither my Mum or myself have siblings, but I have lots of half sisters, the eldest of them is my age & named after my Mum. I've never met any of them.
02. I've shared my life & home with a cat or cats for all but around 7 & a half years of my (almost) 37 years, 4 of which was the first 4 years of my life. I really miss kitty company, but i'm not ready for another cat in my life yet.
03. Half of the people i've had serious relationships with & been in love with are women.
04. I have never driven a car, or had a driving lesson.
05. The only countries i've visited outside the UK are Finland (Helsinki) & the US (Bay Area & Santa Fe).
06. I have agoraphobia.
07. I studied Japanese at evening college for a while in the mid-90's, but sadly i've forgotten pretty much everything I learned. I have no natural aptitude for languages & am totally unable to retain the information.
08. Seeing people drink milk makes me feel physically ill.
09. My teenage years were very troubled & I missed over half my time at secondary school.
10. I have 80 Blythes, & yes, I'm fully aware that that is slightly insane.
11. When I was little I used to get £1 pocket money a week (from my Grandparents) & I used to save it & buy records, never toys or sweets.
12. When i'm alone in the house i sing quite a lot. I love singing, but I don't think I can sing well or that I have a good voice.
13. Earwigs, cockroaches & Subphylum Myriapoda (centipedes, millipedes, etc) totally freak me out.
14. I haven't been to a hairdresser since I was 16.
15. I studied ("fine art") photography at university, but didn't do my final year or complete my degree because I had a breakdown halfway through my 2nd year.
16. the first gig I ever went to was Run DMC & The Beastie Boys in 1988 (at the Manchester Apollo). It would have been Mantronix (in 1987? at Nottingham Rock City), but my Mum wouldn't let me go.
Suppose to come up with 16 random things about me - this is so hard - I'm not that interesting!
1. I am a very defiant person - if you tell me no - it just pushes me to do it even bigger.
2. I had a breast reduction surgery last December - I love my new smaller boobs.
3. I am 5 years cancer free!
4. I have two tattoos and am getting my third next year (mostly cuz hubby doesn't want me to get a third one).
5. I have very little self confidence - I think I suck at almost everything.
6. Having a girly girl daughter scares me - I am such a tomboy.
7. There are days I don't even brush my hair.
8. I love anything water related!
9. I hate wet wood (wooden spoons, popsicle sticks) - shivers - it creeps me out.
10. I can't help my 14 year old son with his homework anymore - he is officially smarter than I am.
11. Everyone in my family has red hair
12. I am a smart ass and avoid confrontation at all costs!
13. I hate wearing shoes
14. I have a distinguishing freckle on every limb of my body - I joke that if I were ever blown up - you could still identify me with the slightest body part (lol god that is gross).
15. I could sleep as if I were a teenager - I love to sleep!
16. I love to love people but am scared of being loved.
Chances are slim but hope remains high.
For this day January 13th someone might be lucky.

The question looms.
What would you do with the money if you had it?
Many say pay off bills, help family members, buy their house and a new car.
Fund their kids so they can go to college and come out debt free.
These things would help the middle class.
And if dreams are made for the dreamers I say thats okay.
It is good to dream.
Good to be out of debt.
Good to be able to pay for their children’s education.
To secure a future and a career.
To buy a car that won’t break down.
And a house with no mortgage.
Stress is money and money is stress.
The idea of the Powerball and winning is the thought that it can buy freedom.
Rest easy y’all as its very few that will have that billion dollar smile.
There is hope though and maybe just maybe some things can change.
And education and college will be more affordable.
And there will be some magic for the masses that are for the good people that just can’t get a break.
Why yes this is an election year.
One can only hope that we hit the jackpot with a leader in America that will help.
Or just continue to play Powerball and dream.

Decorating for Halloween is something I look forward to each year.
With the recent addition of a kitty to our family things have been scaled back a bit, but these two towering lights of sparkling wonder are safe and have a prominent place in our tv room where they can glow in peace and WOW all guests who come to visit.
