While in Blue Ridge, we were in an antique shop and I photographed this display of items from long ago. ...I wonder what we will think about present "everyday" things when we see them 20 or 30 years from now? ...I think we will look back on them with fond memories and they will bring a smile to our faces. Hope this simple picture, but yet powerful reminder of the past, will bring a smile to your face.

Starting a new project things we do during the week in photos !
Last day at work today I have two days off yeah then it's weekend l need the rest this ole timer is getting worn out :-(
Our Wild Things are on their way home and I do miss them.
This was the favorite thing all week of the boy in the gold shirt. It's called Spaces and is in the Spectrum Mall complex. Virtual Reality where they have on back packs with batteries, face masks, foot things so the floor can rock from time to time. And of course huge guns. We got to watch and see on a screen some of what they saw.
Buildings blew up, monsters were vanquished, loud crashing sounds for the 20 minutes of the experience. The four participating, (not me or Don or the youngest Wild Thing), got to have an avatar face and see and have access to a video of their adventure after it was over.
(the real life earthquakes which followed were tame compared to what they'd been through and we rocked and swayed a little in perfect comfort. No damage this 160 miles from the epicenter but books in the bookcase bounced, blinds rattled and the ceiling lamp swayed nicely.)

For this one, a like about myself: Not afraid to try new things.
This day just happened to coincide with a reception for a photography show I was involved in. My local photo club decided to do our own show and we were able to find space at Redland's Community College in El Reno, OK. If you happen to be in the area, feel free to check it out!
So used to creating virtual galleries and sets online that I hardly ever print my pieces. Was gratifying to actually get some things out in physical form. Hope to do more of this.
(In addition to the photo challenge, I plan to be posting shots from the Women's March of OKC as well. A huge turnout. Unlike my usual, I plan to post to both my FB page and here for this set.)

Our friends got us these onesies down at Disney and the boys have finally gotten big enough to fit in them. I know I have plenty of other pics of them in this same pose, but I just had to post them in these outfits.
I returned my Panasonic LX5 and got a Canon s95. I think I just understand the Canon language better.

Bank barn with Mail Pouch advertising sign on the adjacent structure. The barn, which no longer exists, was located just outside of the town of Bendersville along PA State Route 34 where the Applewood housing development now exists.

...come to an end. This was late in the sunset at Cannon Beach. A simpler composition, meant to really showcase Haystack rock and the reflections in the water, which is why I went for the 50/50 split here. As I mentioned, it turned to a purplish-blue towards the end.
I actually left before the color completely disappeared, because a wave surprised me right around this time and soaked my only pair of shoes. Right before dinner. You know that saying, "No shirt, no shoes, no service"? They mean it. :(

Austin coming home and asking if I would paint with him tomorrow. They are studying the 50's and he wants us each to do a Jackson Pollock.
Seeing Courtney, Abbie's old tutor who moved back to WA but is spending part of her spring break back here.
Walking outside last night to see our home against the blue hour
Waking up to another day, although not smooth I went to bed telling Rich I would rather have a rough morning with the kids then to think of them being grown and gone.
Our oldest is having a rough time still and this was assigned for him. I told him I would join him, it will do me some good too. We have a strong faith, we have each other and I know it will be okay it's just rough seeing this amazing young man working through it. He will be stronger for it I'm sure of that.
