The idiom "Castles in the Air" means of course "daydreaming", planing on things that cannot happen - building on no firm grounds. It's quite representative for the situation of a number of real estate that could not be finished because of the economic crash a few years back.
Very mystic and suggestive ground fog - or whatever we call it - that we can see in the middle of the night these days, when the temperature of the river's waters is actually warmer than the air, and it evaporates. We have daylight all night long right now.

Reading Buses 414 YR13PMV ADL Enviro300SG bodied Scania K270UB powered by Compressed Natural Gas based at the Reading depot. It was originally new to Reading Buses in 2013 for the now cut back ‘Scarlet 9’ in a Red livery. Still carrying the old ‘Scarlet 9’ livery but de-branded 414 is seen pulling into Reading railway station with the now withdrawn Red 22 to Chalfont Way ASDA Lower Earley via Royal Berkshire Hospital. The Red 22 to was a attempt by Reading Buses to do a across town service by putting parts of the 19B and 22 together sadly it didn’t work and was hampered by the towns heavy traffic problems and the services have since again been separated.

older brother, restless soul, lie down
lie for a while with your ear against the earth
and you'll hear your sister sleep talking
These are going to be ten things that I feel like I should share with a few people I care about. I hope you guys know who each are.
1. You are something I will miss. I can't comprehend how I handle with things now. It's hard to know how alone I will be feeling next year. It's even harder to know that I knew this was coming. I'm praying for us, though. I feel something so close. We have been connected for over three years. There are things I feel with you that I never have felt before. You are so dear to me. I've never meant "I love you" to anyone else, as I do to you.
2. You keep me whole. You bring me up when I am at worst. You understand me, and I'm so grateful for that. You continue to spread your love and live hope throughout my home. I can't thank you enough for your friendship. You brought me closer to Him and to photography. I feel so terrible compared to you, but God is helping me through that. You deserve all the love in the world. I will be praying for you until the day you leave. You are my guardian angel, and this I believe.
3. You are a fantastic friend. I'm so thankful to have you in my life. You will help me at all times, and I'm so relieved to know you are finally happy. You are such a gift in this chaos. Thank you for being a brother to me.
4. I'm very happy to know you are new in my life. You give me hope at times when I thought they never existed. You will always be accepted by me, and never think otherwise. You are such a gift. You will get through this next year. I have high hopes for you. Thank you for your new friendship.
5. I'm craving to meet you. You have brought me amazing advice, and I value your long distant friendship so much. I will pray for us to meet. You are a beautiful girl, with an amazing heart.
6. Things will get better. I promise you this. It takes time. Such a long time. We're still having to go through it. We all do. This is life, and we continue to grow. Things feel tough, and we feel bad at times. Even on those lonely nights, when you feel empty. You have good intentions. You are so much better than others. We have been through a lot with this short friendship. There was a lot that was not clear. I am very happy to know that we got to talk through it. I will keep having faith in you, because someone needs that. Everyone does. And if it's me that has to be that person for you, I'd be more than happy to. You will get better.
7. You have seen me at my worst. You have felt my anger, and seen it as well. I don't regret how I reacted, because it was completely natural. Emotions are natural, and I'm starting to figure that out. You have gone through a rough year. I couldn't handle this how you are doing. I'm happy to be here for you, and I'm happy to see you getting better. On your own. That is such an accomplishment. Realize you are loved, please. So many care. Let them care while they can. The feeling of losing those is awful. I would know.
8. We were very close. We are always on and off friends. I don't understand much of it, but we still connect. You aren't close to faith anymore, but I miss that relationship you have with Him. Even me. You seemed so much happier, and even felt free. But, I understand times are rough. But, understand you should never give up. You are an incredible person. Thank you for asking me for my opinions. It reminds me that you care. You still contain the same warm heart, and forever I will be thankful for that. Thank you for never letting go of your morals. You are so inspirational.
9. I don't know how to handle you at times. I've given up on you. Thankfully, you'll never read this. Even if you did, it's too late.
10. I never forgot about you, but I remember how terribly you would treat me. As a human being, or even as a friend, it was awful. This is why I don't want to start over again.
A few months ago I won a prize draw for a champagne horse & carriage ride for six people. Yesterday was the day we enjoyed the experience.

It's safe to say that photography is one of my favourite things. Keeps me sane and pushes me to continually learn and improve what I do. Gets me out the house too.

My favorite things? Why, Blythe dolls of course! And don’t forget cats! Oh—and jigsaw puzzles!
These Blythe dolls are Melomelomew (Middie, wearing her stock outfit); Zoe and Her Pet Fish (wearing her stock outfit); and Prima Dolly Peony (wearing Meowsy Wowsy’s stock outfit). The white and pink cats are from VioletPi on Etsy. The background is a jigsaw puzzle. This picture is for the theme “Favorite Things” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
After skipping one doctor and three physiotherapist appointments, I went back to the grocery store just to get cucumbers and much more.
Now I keep a 'To Do Things' diary, which means no more blunders :)

Part of office buildings in the La Defence area of Paris. The close up shot with an unusual angle coupled with modern structures can add real abstract interest to a picture I believe!

Tagged again. I don't believe it... Thanks Maite... :( This time, I am supposed to tell you 16 things about me that you don't know... Why 16? Well, anyway, here goes and let's see if I can name 16 of my contacts en route:
1. My surname is McLaughlan and I'm Scottish although I left there when I was a kid so I don't have an accent, which is a pity.
2. I support Liverpool and can just about remember them winning the League 1001 years ago... sunny-drunk supports the wrong Reds but he writes the most hilarious comments that he's forgiven (Look at this one, for example). And who could dislike a guy that wears Homer Simpson slippers?
3. My first contact was bratli and the first person to list me as one of their contacts was thiajmarie.
4. I like quotes. My favourite is "Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp or what's a heaven for?" by Robert Browning followed closely by Emily Dickinson's "Ignite the imagination and light the slow fuse of the possible". Yes, I'm also a bit of a dreamer... :)
5. I fell in love with Japan in the late 90s when I lived there for almost four years.
6. I fell out of love with Brussels when I lived there for two years (sorry Brussels) - but I love the Belgians :)
7. I would love to live in England's Lake District and be able to photograph it like Matt-James.
8. I have been known to cry a bit when I watch certain movies but I've learned to wipe my eyes surreptitiously :) Talking of which, the one person whose work really, really moves me and leaves me feeling ashamed of the failings in our society is L.J.
9. I love squid, kakifurai and natto. And that reminds me that my latest contacts are the wonderful *nejire and -takako-.
10. I'm a procrastinator and I worry about what people think of me but I'm a loyal friend.
11. I like to photograph vents and, although this might be a surprise to Losy, I also like to post square shots. Yes, I do. It's true :).
12. My favourite names on Flickr are gracie"s ephemera and emily_well_mannered.
13. I love all sorts of music from Tom Waits to Dave Matthews, Bach to Beethoven and Keith Jarrett to Ayado Chie.
14. I would love, just love, to be able to write poetic comments like giovdim. I imagine him consumed by an image and then letting his feelings fall as words on to the keyboard. Or like sunshadows, who once posted a haiku to a picture of mine and left me stunned by its beautiful simplicity. Building on this, I would love to be able to write tags like Super G and skillful titles like esanatha to go with their great pictures.
15. One of my proudest days on Flickr was when Nganguyen, whose work I adore, faved one of my pictures.
16. I have only ever met one of my Flickr friends (JenniPenni) but I would love - one day - to meet more.
And here's one thing that I hope all of my contacts already know about me - I love your work and enjoy your Flickr friendship. And I hate that I couldn't mention every single one of you here.
By the way, the picture is another shot of Norman Foster's More London development on the South Bank - like this one - and is part of the buildings and ministract sets.

Golden Gate Bridge with low fog at sunrise with California Erigeron. This was my first LFE as a San Francisco resident!
There are two kinds of photographers whose principles I almost always disagree with:
(1) The "stamp collectors" who try to get every iconic shot that other people have. Why not try something else?
(2) The people who refuse to visit amazing locations because 'they've been shot to death'. These spots are all heavily shot for a reason -- they're gorgeous. Fortunately, though, most photographers are lazy sheep who all set up in the classic places. I shot this just a stone's throw from 30 other tripods, but it seemed like everybody else was so focused on the stunningly low fog that they didn't look down to see the flowers on the ground. A few of the other patches of these flowers nearby looked like photographers had even unknowingly stepped on them :(

p.s. I have moved to San Francisco! If you are in the Bay Area, hit me up!

Anastasia is a russian girl who spent all her life in England. She recently came back to her homeland to find out about her origins, and she discovers more than she expected.
I got this dollchateau verna yesterday, she's my dreamdoll, I've never seen more beautiful than her. She reminds me a lot of Iekaterina, they must be related somehow. She looks a lot like Amy Pond from Doctor Who, she even has a tardis tattoo on her thigh ♥
