These Thins that all the biscuit companies are bringing out are FANTASTIC, they taste great and you can eat loads! However (as proved by the next few shots) my pre-holiday diet has started so I think this is the last unhealthy food I ate!

Broadleaf Arrowhead (Sagittaria latifolia) has paper thin, three-petalled white flowers. It is found natively to Hawai, the Caribbean and the northern part of South America. It is also widespread across North America and is considered an invasive weed in Europe and Australia. The Indians ate the tubers, and it is also referred to as Indian potato. The tubers can be eaten raw, or be cooked for 15-20 minutes. It tastes like potatoes and chestnuts and can be roasted, fried, boiled or turned into flour. It is rich in Vit A, B and C.

Combine the shallow-depth-of-field with Sony NEX-6's latest face-tracking auto focus, and you can see how the moving video keeps the model's pretty blue eyes in focus, while blurring the background! The Sony Alpha NEX 6 has much better bokeh than the cameras I have been using! :)

Area being thinned in a private project. Logger had an accidental fire, confined to thinned area. Thinning projects in the area are part of the Rocky Point-White Swan Forest Resilience Targeted Implemntation Plan (TIP) under Montana Focused Conservation (MFC) and complement other projects completed by CSKT. This TIP is in partnership with Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Lake County Conservation District, and the Montana Departmnet of Natural Resources and Conservation. The purpose of the TIP is to improve forest resilience to weather and pest issues, decrease the likelihood of catastrophic wildfire in the Wildland Urban Interface, and improve forest health.
