There's no one at the counter at the moment. Well, even the takeaway staff are allowed to take a break.

Animal portrait # 8 - Lion
In addition to wanting to get candid action photos on our recent safaris in Kenya and Tanzania, I aimed to get some portrait stills of a few of the animals, each of which is expressly unique.
This big man looked like he'd been in a battle or two. Based on his supreme confidence, I would have hated to see what those who fought with him looked like.
Having been checked out at 'The Last Chance ramp', 'The King' aka US Air Force 493rd/48thFW McDonnell-Douglas (Boeing)
F-15C Eagle 84-0010/LN taxies to line-up and depart home-base RAF Lakenheath
Specially marked for last year's D-Day 75th Anniversary, three based F-15's were similarly painted - this one where the paintwork lives on - even the Statue of Liberty still adorning her fin along with two F-15E's, one with red rudders and the other sporting yellow ones
Of the three I believe this one is the only one still painted as such and is currently on NATO 'Policing Ops' in Iceland

I was so fortunate to have the wind blowing this day as it really shows action from the wind in the grass and his mane.
Thanks for the visit I really appreciate it. Make it a great day my friends as it is a choice.

Today, the 6th of May, 2023, is a momentous day. Today is the Coronation of His Majesty, King Charles III, and people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth move into the new Carolean Age.
Celebrations will be happening in Britain and around the world to mark the occasion.
How apt it is that yesterday, I should receive my special limited edition King Charles III Commemorative Teddy Bear from Merrythought in Britain. So it is with the deepest pride and pleasure that I present him to you.
Beautifully crafted in Merrythought’s historic British factory, His Majesty is a true heirloom and features golden mohair plush paired with pure cotton velvet paws, one of which is embroidered with The King’s official cypher and the occasion date. His noble persona is enhanced by deep blue eyes and a neatly hand-stitched nose and smile. He looks very much like his Royal human counterpart. Marking the first Coronation in seventy years, His Majesty is dressed in an impressive pure cotton velvet robe, with satin lining, gold embroidery and Italian tassel detailing. As befitting a new monarch, he is presented with a stunning silver-plated replica of the Imperial state crown. Adorned with twenty six glass gemstones, pure cotton velvet lining and white woven faux fur trim, it is a masterpiece in its own right.
His Majesty King Charles III Commemorative Teddy Bear is number 72 of a worldwide limited edition of 2023.
God bless His Majesty! Long may he reign over us!

Talk is that this one is the only survivor as the others have since been repainted

Panorama from 7 shots. I was pretty blown away to see sheep grazing on top of Mt. Rotwandkopf with its vertical limestone walls to the south (left) and very steep, dangerous terrain also on the northern side. They're obviously used to roaming around the mountains more like chamoises than usual sheep. Either that or the circling crows are waiting like vultures for them to fall.
The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek ("ny" means "new" in Danish; "Glyptotek" comes from the Greek root glyphein, to carve, and theke, storing place), commonly known simply as Glyptoteket, is an art museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. The collection represents the private art collection of Carl Jacobsen (1842–1914), the son of the founder of the Carlsberg Breweries.

The Elvis Presley Birthplace is a historic museum site in Tupelo, Mississippi dedicated to the preservation of the birthplace of American musician Elvis Presley, as well as listed on the Mississippi Blues Trail.
The museum site includes the birthplace home of Elvis Presley, a museum, a chapel, and the Assembly of God Church building where the Presley family worshipped. Financially, times were hard on Vernon and Gladys, and they had to move out of the shotgun house when he was only a few years old for lack of payment. Vernon and Gladys worked various jobs while in Tupelo and moved several different times during the thirteen years they resided in Mississippi.
An F5 tornado struck eight miles outside the city on April 5, 1936. The one-year-old Elvis and his mother, Gladys, survived the storm because it did not destroy their house. His father, Vernon, was out of town looking for work. 1270
