I've seen an Akhal Teke mare for sale, she was a real beauty with her sooty coat and she catched my eyes the second I've seen her on the video. Sadly, I couldn't afford her and I was just hoping she would end in a good home, if it wasn't at the Ranch with us.. My friend, who went in Turkmenistan, sent me different photos of thoses amazing Akhal Teke horses as he went to visit many stables. And then, he sent me this photo, THIS is the mare I've seen for sale that catched my eyes and heart ! I've told him about her and he said "well, consider she's coming home with us when I come back". I couldn't believe it, she was coming to the Ranch ! I can't wait to see her in real, after all this time, this is a dream come true !

Our horses were out in the pasture during all day, now with the weather starting to get cold, we bring all of them inside for the night. They were well taken care of, and they now can enjoy the warmth of their stalls and their food. Now, it's our percheron mare time. We gonna brush her, put some hoof care, put her blanket to keep her and her baby warm and then give her some grain, she gonna be well settled up for the night.

The Marwari, everybody heard about that special horse breed who have those cute curled ears. That breed come from Marwar in India, at first, they were used as cavalry horses as well as some agricultural work. Those horses are rare but popular cause of their unique looks. Today was kind of a stressful day. We had to bring our Irish Cob mare to the vet, to see if everything was good with her foal. One of the best Vet Clinic we know is at Evergarden Equestrian, so we asked for a meet up and luckily, they give us one really fast. Our mare is at her fifth month of pregnancy and as she already had a problem with her previous baby around the same time, we rather prevent a drama to happen. They did all the exams they needed and as you can see, she was pretty relaxed, prove that you can go to EE vet clinic with your eyes close, your horses will be well treated ! After the vet did all the checks on the mare, they confirmed that everything was fine ! Stress relief ! Now we can go back to the Ranch and put her out in her field so she can enjoy the rest of the day.

Las Cavernas de Marmol son un conjunto de formaciones de roca marmorea labradas por el viento y la erosion en una peninsula al suroeste del gran Lago General Carrera a tan solo 4 kms del poblado de Puerto Tranquilo en la Patagonia Chilena. Un gigantesco filon de marmol que se extiende por varios kms junto a las costas del lago al plegarse, genero complejas bandas de diferentes colores siendo el color predominante el azul. El conjunto ofrece magnificas y singulares formaciones tales como el mayor acantilado de marmol azul del mundo con mas de 100 mts de altura, diversas cavernas y las famosas Capilla y Catedral de Marmol perfectamente complementadas con el color turqueza del lago ofreciendo un espectaculo natural unico en el mundo. En 1999 fueron declaradas Monumento Natural y consideradas entre los 10 destinos mas fascinantes del mundo. El auge turistico en los ultimos años las han convertido en uno de los atractivos mas destacados de la Carretera Austral.
La Carretera Austral es uno de los mayores atractivos de la Patagonia chilena. Esta larga carretera que nació como un sendero de colonización a fines del siglo XX, actualmente es una ruta turística de un creciente interés para viajeros y aventureros de todo el mundo que quieran recorrer la salvaje belleza patagónica. Se ha consolidado como destino por ser una de las mejores 10 rutas escénicas del mundo para viajar ya sea en auto, motocicleta o en bicicleta.
La Carretera Austral o Ruta CH-7, nace en la ciudad de Puerto Montt, recorriendo mas de 1.240 kilómetros, en su trayecto cruza varias veces la cordillera de los Andes, junto con bordear el litoral y los fiordos de la Patagonia Occidental, para luego internarse en los bosques australes siempre verdes, acercándose a numerosos glaciares, grandes lagos y los ventisqueros de los Campos de Hielo Norte para finalizar en Villa O’Higgins, a unos cuantos kilómetros del Campo de Hielo Sur.

The Marble Caverns are a set of marble rock formations carved by wind and erosion in a peninsula to the southwest of the Great General Carrera Lake, only 4 kms from the town of Puerto Tranquilo in the Chilean Patagonia. A gigantic row of marble that extends for several kms next to the coasts of the lake when folding generated complex bands of different colors being the predominant color the blue. The complex offers magnificent and unique formations such as the largest blue marble cliff in the world with more than 100 meters high, several caverns and the famous Chapel and Marble Cathedral perfectly complemented by the turquoise color of the lake offering a unique natural spectacle in the world. In 1999 they were declared Natural Monument and considered among the 10 most fascinating destinations in the world. The tourist boom in recent years have made them one of the highlights of the Carretera Austral.
The Carretera Austral is one of the biggest attractions of the Chilean Patagonia . This long road that began as a path of colonization in the late twentieth century , is now a tourist route of a growing interest for travelers and adventurers from around the world who want to explore the wild beauty of Patagonia . It has become destiny as one of the top 10 best scenic routes in the world to travel either by car , motorcycle or bicycle .
The Carretera Austral or Route CH -7, born in the city of Puerto Montt , traveling more than 1,240 miles in its path crosses several times the Andes along with skirting the coast and fjords of Western Patagonia then deep into the southern evergreen forests approaching numerous glaciers large lakes and the glaciers of the Northern Ice Field to finish in Villa O'Higgins a few kilometers from Southern Ice Field .

This picture depicts a rauk in the northern part of Gotland, called The Dog or The Coffe Pot.
The picture is made up of different exposures and has been tweaked in Adobe Lightroom.

Once upon a time, there was a mare who was tired of being locked up in her meadow, so she decided to go explore the surroundings and arrived in front of a huge enchanted forest. She ventured on the path that led inside the forest. The colors were bright and the light that emanated from between the trees was dazzling. She walked for hours, taking small paths, letting herself be guided by the beauty of this forest. A little later, she came across a small pond, dotted with sparkling stars, and after walking for several hours, she was thirsty and decided to drink. Once she had quenched her thirst, she layed down at the edge of the water and took a little nap to rest.
She woke up and noticed that, despite the brightness of the forest, it was starting to get late and she had to go home, but where had she come from ?! She was lost in this huge forest, which she didn't know. She set off in the hope of recognizing a path she had taken to come, but nothing. She lowered her head, thinking that she would never find her way back and then, she heard a noise in the bushes. The mare raised her head and saw a strange creature.
The creature looked like her peers but he had a really unusual coat, pink with white dots scattered over his body. On his head, he was wearing a mushroom hat, on his legs, some growths looking like mushrooms and his mane was also made of mushrooms ! A guardian of this forest ! No doubt he had noticed her getting lost and seeing that she could not find her way, he walked towards the mare to help her.
- "Hello stranger, I see that you have ventured a little too far into the forest and now, you cannot longer find your way"
The mare answered while slowly backing away.
- "Hello... Yes I... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you"
- "No problem" he answered "I will guide you home, I know this forest and all its nooks and crannies, follow me"
The mushroom horse came to stop near the mare, looking behind him at the glow of the forest, then he passed her and the mare followed him. He made her go through paths she hadn't even taken, but after a while, she finally saw the edge of the forest, she was back ! The guardian stopped and looked at her "I'm not going any further" he said to her "now I think you can find your way alone". The mare turned to the mushroom horse and bowed her head in thanks, then she galloped towards her house. "What an adventure" she thought "maybe I'll go back into this forest another day and this mushroom horse will make me discover other amazing hidden places in it !"

Autumn is here, that means pretty colors on the trees, warm coffee behind the window while it's raining, nice smells and.. hunting ! Foxes ! Of course we don't hurt them, it's mostly a, run and catch game.. While we explain to the dogs that Foxes are our friends and that we don't bite them, looks like the little fellow already started to play around with the puppies while mom and dad are getting ready to work !

These sea stacks are called Raukar ( sing. Rauk ). They are limestone formations, quite common on Gotland, a Swedish island in the Baltic Sea
