El Martes pasado una noche de concierto en San Sebastian, The Boss volvio a conseguirlo y nos mantuvo durante tres horas y media a todos pendientes de el.

This guy turned his back on the rising sun and lit up his tail for me. As he walked in a westerly direction, he carried his tail like a parasol to keep the sun off that big ol' blue head.
Full frame. He let me get pretty close - the hens he was courting had most of his attention. He had mine.

Spending a morning with this majestic buck at the peak of last Fall's rut was an experience that will stay with me a lifetime. Emerging from the treeline well after the does had arrived in the meadow, it was soon apparent this one had battled another buck earlier that morning. With a right eye that would ultimately swell completely shut and most likely a fractured orbital socket, this one left no doubt that he answered to no one.

this guy is (I believe) the dominant buck in my locale for this year. I walked upon him napping. Probably after a busy night with the females. The big cheese does does then does doze.
Just south of "good-light lane", which by the way, no longer is set up for as good of light after some clearing done by the property owner. Such is progress.
He looks very friendly, though he is the boss. And he was the only one of the goat herd, who did not run away when I started to take pictures. The nanny goats and the kids were running away, because I obviously did not respect their escape distance.

Lorro Park in Tenerife. What a great time I had there. If you ever go to Tenerife then this is a place you must visit. Better to spend two days as you will not manage to see all the shows in one day.

Me, I'm struggling a little again, recently a lot has been at the forefront of my mind - that never ends well.
On our walk yesterday, Charlie went up a steep bank towards the trail that leads towards home.
He defied all of my calls and gave me THIS look.
His collar was dead, so I couldn't beep him.
I relented to the boss and we took his preferred way home.

An airborne shot of Oslo, Norway in the morning taken with my drone. The sprawling white building in the middle of the shot is the iconic Oslo Opera House.
We built an entire Scandinavian journey around a Bruce Springsteen concert that would take place later on this same day in Oslo. Our two weeks in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark could not have been any better. We enjoyed everything, the sights, the sounds, the food, the incredible people. To all my Flickr friends from this part of the world: thank you for the extreme and gracious hospitality of your brothers and sisters, you are blessed.
I have been posting several photos of our visit, and almost every one of them is entitled with a lyric or a phrase from a Springsteen song, as it was his concert that made this visit possible.
