“Do not break my locusts,

without them, the wind will blow me away.

Let them be, they have to keep, for me,

a secret, golden like golden coins:

do not break my locusts, I used to kiss her under them

her – barefoot and escaping a dream.

Oh, do I have to tell you again?“

“Nek’ su mi gazili njivom, mojom se sladili šljivom,

uvek je lopova bilo jer ćuk je ćuk i vuk je vuk.

Nikada zlotvora dosta, suša mi uništi bostan

i led se prospe pred žetvu, al’ led je led a red je red!

I prekardašilo..........“

Paeonia suffruticosa, the tree peony, is a species of peony native to China. Paeonia Suffruticosa is the plant’s botanical name. More commonly, the plant is referred as the tree peony. It is an important symbol in Chinese culture. It was first described and validly published by Henry Charles Andrews in 1804. The flower component is its most attracting feature of the plant. Paeonia Suffruticosa’s flower is very large in comparison with most other flower species. The size of the flower usually ranges from 6-12 inches cross. The name Paeonia Suffruticosa is derived from two different sources. The genus name Paeonia derives from the name Paeon. In Greek mythology, this name was a disciple of the god of medicine, Ascleplus. Suffruticosa has a more complex name origin as it is composed in two different parts. The first part suf- , which is only a prefix, and the second part fruticosa, meaning shrub-like. The epidermis of its roots is used in traditional Chinese medicine, called "mudanpi". Despite their classification as trees, it is the flowers that attract the public’s attention. Peonies are generally slow to grow and have flowers that only last briefly and are fragile to weather conditions such as wind, rain or hot temperatures.

In China, it is generally known as the “king of flowers”, symbolizing honor, rich, and aristocracy, as well as love affection, and feminine beauty. It has been frequently portrayed and appraised in various significant Chinese literatures and art.

You don't have to go far to find amazing places. Anyone who talks about wishing they could travel but ignores the beauties that don't even require a plane ticket let alone leaving the country needs to rethink their definition of adventure. The possibilities are endless.

That's something that means the world to me about landscape photography. When you stalk follow other landscape photographers' work to see what the cool people are shooting these days, not only do you get ideas for off-the-beaten-track places to find, but you have an excuse to stick around and take it all in as you photograph it, not just grab a snapshot and move along.

This was my second time up at Steptoe Butte and although I prefer it in spring green (I'm a SoCal and southern Idaho girl, we always want what we don't have), the August rain clouds made up for the color change. I feel a little cliche posting a Palouse shot from the Butte, it's so famous to photographers, but every time I've mentioned the spot to non-photographers?

They've never heard of it. Not one.

It's the time of year when the mountain snows haven't melted yet (and it will be a long while this year!) and I start feeling trapped and restless and ready for another adventure. But it's always good to remind myself that magic is all around if you only know where to look.

And when you are tired like a dog,

and in your darkest hour,

that you're able to color your pillow with hope.

This is also important,

the most important of all,

when you treasure such beauty inside you,

to pack secretly at least a tinny bit of it

in a letter, and send it to the whole world.

Then your time on this earth will be less gray and bad,

with less worries and less sad,

less tears and solitude.

And every time when you give the world a little piece of yourself

You'll be able to say that world now looks more like you!

A little bit of my homeland Vojvodina, this kind of houses are know as SALAŠI or SALASHI, or if I may translate it as The Farm (farm), the type of land ownership,

characteristic for Vojvodina. Often leaved so the time can passed them over. In this kind of houses some of my grandparents, members of my family were born.

Today, their restorations is in progress, for countryside tourism, hopefully they will never be forgotten.

Have a great day everyone. I see they are now going to come out with another new layout. I don't like that one either. I couldn't figure out how to get to the next photo. Making it harder and harder to come here these days.

"Dr. Martha Starks (Modes of Therapeutic Action) defines maturity as "being able to accept the reality of people and things as they are, without needing them to be other than that." Humans tend to upset themselves if life is not the way they think it should be. What is - is… make your plan and move on to productive behaviors.

Our brains will believe anything we tell them. If you tell your brain that you are in danger (physically, emotionally or psychologically) it reacts as if you are sliding face first down a mountain. If you replace negative irrational, self-limiting thoughts, your emotional control will improve dramatically. What does that mean? It means that your relationships improve, you feel in control and self-confident, you like yourself, and you are more likely to reach your life goals."
