Honestly, I'm not sure about this one ... from the shot to the texture, something's not quite right, especially since I wanted to take a lighter and softer approach to my photography this year. First shot out and it's a bit on the moody side.

Anyhoo, it is what it is and it's for this week's Macro Monday's theme, transformation.

I hope you're having a smashing start to the new year! Oh and HMM!!

Lately I've been very interested in creating abstracts through camera movement....the editing process for me is equally as fun and enjoyable as actually taking the picture. Through the editing process you can actually begin to see what you envisioned in your mind when you took the shot. Sometimes I like to push it just a bit further than I should just to see what happens.

New way of landscape photography. This picture is from a Quarry,a beautiful rocks pattern found, just stopped and captured..No HOCUS-POCUS

You know up until now I've been very suspicious of textures. But I had a spare hour this afternoon and my lovely husband (resident photoshop expert) around to help and this is what I came up with. What I like about this is that it looks nothing like the picture or indeed the plant in our front garden. I might have another go at this texture business....but it's still not as good as lots of lovely sun and light!
